We were so excited to get a new fireplace. The other ones we always bought had the legs on them, but after so many uses, they start to break. I really like this one because it doesn't have the standard flimsy legs that the other ones have and I love the wood storage underneath so we don't have to keep running back to the woodpile in the dark. I also really like that there is a tray inside it to burn in. This will make cleaning out the ashes much easier and less dusty than shoveling. We can just take the tray, dump it, and put it right back in. The build was fairly easy. It took two of us about 3 hours to get it all together, but that was while we were playing with the kids (the box makes an awesome rocket ship), took it back apart after we were halfway done to add Loctite to the screws, and had to drill some extra holes. All the screws came labeled in their own section of packaging, which made it super easy and the directions were clear and concise. The only issue we had was when we went to build the side grates. There are two square side pieces that have two rectangle pieces attached to each (so four rectangles total). These make up the side of the fireplace and the design lines up going all the way around. When we started putting it together, we noticed there were three of the same rectangle panel and only one of other rectangle ones. This would mean that one of them wouldn't fit (there should be two and two). I tried to contact the seller directly to see if they could just send us the one piece that we needed, but I could only contact Amazon directly. This meant I would have to send the entire fireplace back and get a new one. Honestly, not worth the hassle! So we just drilled two extra holes and have one rectangle side piece upside down. You can't even really tell, but I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't contact the seller directly. The fireplace feels pretty sturdy, but is also light enough to move around if we want to. I love the brushed bronze color and the whole overall look of it. I also like that it doesn't have doors on it, but it still mostly enclosed. This was we can roast marshmallows with the kids easily and can add more wood without always having to take the hot top off. Overall, this fireplace is a great value for the money and we're super happy with it!

For the price, this is actually a surprisingly well-made, sturdy fire pit that's built to last and can easily burn any kind of wood or charcoal. But, there is a lack of tools included, and it doesn't come with any spark screen, despite the description saying it does. This fire pit is made of thick sheet metal, not thin; it's not impossible to move on your own or even pick up, but it's quite heavy because of how thick the steel is. This translates into a confidence in using it though because it's sturdy, and it's great at holding fire logs and burning them in the middle tray. The middle tray is an even thicker steel, and also removable, which is a nice touch, because it makes it easy to pull out, dump out the ashes, and dust it clean once the coals have died out. There's a mesh screen around the sides of the fire pit, and that screen on the side keeps any sparks from jumping out into the world. The bottom can be used to store fire wood when the pit isn't in use, and the pit itself does a good job of shielding your wood from the elements like an overhead porch would. It's open all around and there's a cutout in the top that lets smoke pour out through the covered middle bit, so it gets good air flow and any smoke it does produce goes out the top. Assembly takes about 1.5 hours with power tools, and would probably take 2 hours without, as it's a simple assembly with just Phillips head screws and labeled parts. On top of that, it looks great, and you can easily make it put out a fair bit of heat with firewood. There are some downsides. Despite this being listed as coming with a spark screen, the only spark screen is the one on the sides, so you're going to have to watch out for sparks. The instructions in this case make it clear that it needs to be treated like any open-air fire, and if I read them right, you also need to empty out the bottom of the storage before setting up a fire in it. There are also no included spare parts: no spare screws, no spare bolts. If you lose or drop one you'd better find it, and if one breaks or doesn't work for some reason, you'll just be out of luck. These two downsides are minor on their own but definitely worth taking a star off when put together. Obviously, don't use this indoors, I just assembled it inside. The included poker is fine but it's not noteworthy so I'm not counting it as a positive or negative, it's thick and well made but it's not really special in any way. If you need it you'll appreciate it, but if you have one of your own you're probably just going to toss it. * I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using often. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

This outdoor fireplace/fire pit is a fantastic addition to our backyard. It took about 45 minutes to assemble, and while the directions were a little confusing in spots, we got it together without too much trouble. One mystery piece—a small hook that resembles a marshmallow stick—was included, but it’s not quite suitable as a fire poker. Still not sure what it’s officially for, but it wasn’t a big deal. Once assembled, the fireplace feels very sturdy and well-made. It’s all metal and looks far more expensive than the ~$150 we paid. It has a professional, upscale design that fits right into our outdoor setup. We were able to stack about four bundles of wood across the bottom storage area, which is great for keeping firewood dry thanks to the built-in floor. The actual fire bowl is generously sized, so it puts out a good amount of heat without the flames getting too high—perfect for safe backyard use without worrying about it catching nearby trees or bushes. Another thoughtful feature: when you pour water to put the fire out or if it rains, there’s a drainage system so water doesn’t collect and pool inside. Smart design all around. I can’t say enough good things about this fire pit—it’s durable, good-looking, and practical. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to elevate their outdoor space!
