This coffee is good. It says breakfast blend but it's a lot stronger. Be careful measuring. I had to play around with measuring to get the taste that I was going for.

    • Avoid- oily, skunky, burned.
This is one of the darkest, oiliest coffees I’ve seen. Even dark, oily coffee can smell good, but this coffee smells burned and skunky. It’s so oily that it doesn’t work in my coffee maker- the beans just stick together. I had to throw out almost the entire bag. I made a single shot of espresso that had a few of these beans in it, and their taste ruined the rest of the drink which was made with good espresso beans. ... show more

    • Awful smell
It smells like manure. Every time we ground the beans and brewed a cup, it stank up the kitchen. We ended up throwing away half the bag.

Especially their ground version of this is terrible. We also have the whole bean and it's not as bad. I like whole foods brand Italian whole beans.

    • Not the best
While this coffee is affordable, it is not good. Typically a coffee advertised as a breakfast blend is a lighter roast so it has more caffeine. This medium roast tastes burned and smells like a skunk when brewing. Try something else.
