It's solid, roomie enough for my 90lb German Shepherd, surprisingly doesn't get too hot inside (I'm in the desert) with the option to roll up and secure outside flaps for ventilation, and water proof. Very easy to put together. You can build it by yourself but it makes it easier if you have help. Love the top covering with the opening for fresh air. It is very sturdy. My dog likes to make a mad dash in and out of the house. Easy to clean and very lite to move around. If you have a dog that likes to chew (like mine) they will find a way to rip it apart. Mine made her opening bigger to run in and out of the house better. 🤣 even after that I am very satisfied with the product ... show more

This was quite easy to assemble. The Velcro that holds the material together is excellent. It wasn't difficult to tighten up the mat for the bed frame or the canopy. It looks sleek and it is easy to move around. Not heavy. Nice tall and wide opening. The dog has plenty of room to get in and out, move around comfortably, and she can be upright with no issue inside of it. I put four outdoor cushions in it for comfort and it didn't take away from the ability of the dog to move around easily. I give it a 4 only because it didn't come with the middle pieces for the roof section as shown in the booklet (pg.5), but the components were all there as shown on page 1. However, these parts weren't really needed to maintain its sturdy structure or stability and overall fit of the canopy. ... show more

It's not a terrible buy for the cost but my dog was uncomfortable inside. The bottom feels unsturdy so I imagine that's why he wouldn't lay in it. He just peed all on the outside. He would only go inside if I got in with him.

I would give this 10 stars if I could! I have looked forever for a dog house my German Shepherd would use. He is so picky. With even the biggest plastic ones he would stand up and pop the plastic top off or chew the plastic... I love that this is off of the ground, it has a wide opening so that he can see outside... he has to always be able to see our house as he knows his job is to protect it. He loves this house and now takes naps in it! I was worried about the quality but it is very heavy duty! We did stake it down to the ground just in case.. it made it through a storm yesterday without issues.. I am very impressed! ... show more
