  • Super simple set up. Great for new hatchers.
Simple to set up. Plug it in. Then set the egg holding tray on the turning spindle. Then you press the setup button and set your desired temperature. Then open the draw and add water to the center of the tray. That is the entire setup process. I am going to be hatching 36 chicken eggs. The true test of an incubator is the hatch rate. I will update this review in three weeks after I know my hatch rate. I am currently do a prehatch test. I have 3 thermometer/hygrometer inside the incubator. All three are showing a humidity level of 58%. The thermometer is reading different on each thermometer. The one that is right under the incubator thermostat is reading exactly the same as the incubator control panel. The two thermometer that are to the side are reading about 2°f cooler. I will be curious if the temperature difference will effect the hatch dates. 7/1/25: I have set 30 eggs in this incubator to hatch. The description says it is a 36 egg incubator. I guess my egg may be larger than normal. I could only fit 30 in without crowding and risking them getting jammed up and cracked during the turning process. So far the temperature seems to have equalized out in the incubator now that it has eggs in it. The humidity is not too hard to control. You just open the bottom tray and add water as needed. The difficult part is knowing how much water to add. I spent 2 days prior to setting the eggs trying different amounts of water to see how it affected the humidity. As with most things it has been trial and error. I found a wet paper towel in the drawer is a much better solution than just pouring water into the drawer. It doesn't take much to wet the paper towel, but the humidity remains stable for hours at a time. When the humidity drops add water to dampen the paper towel. I will update again when the eggs hatch. ... show more

  • Good beginning incubator
To start off, I am going to say that this seems like a great incubator. I have not finished hatching out eggs in it yet. But just to start off. It turned on great, was easy to put together, heated up beautifully. It seems to be on for the temperature. It has humidity and temperature readings on it as well as what day you're on. I appreciate that. I was hoping that it would have the ability to set the number of days that would automatically stop turning. It does not seem to have that. I went to the directions couldn't find anything to do with that. So you do need to remember to take your Turner out with this one. Not a huge deal, but does take some time. I did reduce it by one star because it's listed as a 36 egg incubator. And they must be talking quail eggs, because you're not fitting 36 chicken eggs into this incubator. Unless they're banty eggs or something, that's just not going to work. I was able to fit a maximum of 30 eggs into this incubator. Chicken eggs. If you were doing something larger like goose or duck eggs, you would not be able to fit anywhere near that amount. Maybe 15 to 20 duck eggs. Very easy to clean, very quiet, and as long as it works great on hatch day, it's a good value for the amount of eggs that you can hatch in it. so far though I can say that it's doing a great job. It is heating up correctly it is showing a proper humidity level. And I'm excited to see what happens on hatch day. ... show more

  • Must keep the packing Styrofoam?
I'm a little baffled by the idea that I have to keep the packing Styrofoam to put this in IF the room temperate is expected reach 68 degrees or lower. That's a huge inconvenience, since that is around the temperature I like to keep my house. I'll probably leave it outside during the summer in a shed that stays cooler so I don't have to bother with this, but I don't know what I'll do if I decide to do any hatching in the cooler months. Also, the instructions aren't great, and I can't figure out how to set the expected day setting. Yet another item written in broken English, which is crazy now that AI can do translations easily. They also don't seem to know the difference between holding a button, and pressing it. Sometimes it says press, but you have to hold. It's not the easiest thing to use because of this. Outside of these annoyances, it seems to work as expected. The egg rotation isn't a full 180 degrees, it's more like 90 at most, but I think that's to be expected. The temperature regulation seem fine, and the egg candler works but could be a bit brighter. I'll update my review if I end up having problems. Also, there is no way it's going to hold 30 chicken eggs. I'm sure it can hold way more quail eggs, but I won't be using it for that. Still, 30 chicks is quite a bit. I think for the price they are asking, it should at least include decent instructions. The build quality feels good though, and the capacity is fine. It seems easy enough to clean too, since it's just a big rectangle. ... show more

  • Will absolutely back the quality
Extremely beginner friendly incubator. This holds the temperature a lot more steady than the “dome style” incubators around the same price. The incubator itself is extremely stable, has a hinge style door that opens upward. It comes with a styrofoam shell with cutouts for access to the water tray, buttons, plug, and to see the eggs. Automatic rotator motor. Candling light. So far I have been able to fit 52 quail eggs (25 being Jumbo) with an extra 2-3 rows unfilled. I would guess 75-90 quail eggs could fit total. It holds A LOT of eggs. Dome style incubators were holding about 25 comfortably. The instructions provided were accurate. Pouring water into the water tray, according to instructions kept the humidity in the proper range, and did not drop the temp. So far I have 80-90% development rate. This is well worth the price you pay. ... show more
