  • One of my new favorites
Color: 35mm F0.95 Black Size: Fit for Fuji XF Mount
Love the character of Brightin Star 35mm F0.95 APS-C. I shot with the Fuji x-t5, and enjoyed the character of this manual focus lens

  • My new best friend
Color: 35mm F0.95 Black Size: Fit for Fuji XF Mount
Looking for a manual lens that will bring you the feeling of using that film camera your pockets can’t afford anymore? Looking for a lens to add to your fujifilm camera that will enhance your user experience? Feel like slowing down and take your time to compose beautiful images? Well welcome to the Brightin Star 35 mm f 0.95 It’s only been a few days with this lens (and this camera) and I can adamantly say I know I won’t grow tired of using it. There is a skill curve with this manual focus if you’re looking to take images quickly, or your subject is at a large distance and you want to be at the most open aperture of .95. But to me, I’ve been viewing that as an epic challenge, it’s caused me to think differently and really go out and practice often. I was looking for a camera and lens that I would feel excited by, I researched through the other affordable f .95 lenses and landed here for the clickable aperture, the sharpness you can achieve when you get it right, and it’s travel size. I feel like a kid again, taking my camera out at every single thing that excites me. As a professional photographer, being able to play often is also training grounds for improving when I have to deliver on shoots the next time. I probably wouldn’t use this lens for event photography or anything that requires a fast pace. But definitely portraiture and studio work. But I really enjoy feeling like I’m not limited by a film camera but can still attain that timeless feel whenever I want to pull this dude out. My new best friend. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good for the price
Color: 35mm F1.7 Silver Size: Fit for Fuji XF Mount
The lens is really good for the price. It’s a softer vintage styled image (don’t expect ultra sharp images that’s can be printed as wall art) but the f/1.7 comes in really handy for night photography. The compact size makes for a good walk-around package with the Fuji cameras.

  • Lens is decent for the price but don't expect pinpoint clarity
Color: 35mm F0.95 Black Size: Fit for Sony E Mount
Whatever we buy always comes down to value vs cost and need. This lens seems well manufactured and as long as your comfortable with a manual focus lens (and you're not a professional photographer), this lens will suffice. You're not going to get extreme sharpness with this lens as you would a lens that costs 4x as much or more. At .095, don't expect much. Stop down your aperture to 2.0 and the pictures get sharper throughout the image. For portraits, I think this is a great lens as it is NOT so sharp. We all aren't airbrushed and I think a little softness on our portraits isn't a bad thing. If you're a hobbyist or just a person with an interchangeable lens camera, this is a great lens for you. If you're a pro or a person who gets joy from magnifying your image 500x and finding CA or distortion, pass on this lens. ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Color: 35mm F0.95 Silver Size: Fit for Fuji XF Mount
Great value for the money. Very good bokeh and lets in a ton of light into the lens. Happy with the purchase. Produces a very shallow depth of field and seems to be very well built. Optics are clear and nice . Really a must add for any collection

  • absolutely CRAZY and loving it!
Color: 35mm F0.95 Black Size: Fit for Fuji XF Mount
This lens is unbelievable! Back in the late '60's the first camera I bought was a fixed lens Canon rangefinder that I sold it to buy a used Leica 3F. That Leica was a disaster... I couldn't even load the film successfully. I finally sold it and bought a used Nikon F that was my only camera through art school and it was reliable and almost bullet proof. Over many decades I used many different camera formats through my years of photography- products, portraits and travel- and currently use only Fujifilm X-Pro and XT. When I saw the Brighten Star 35mm f/0.95 lens for $200 I was expecting it to be a piece of cr*p but I was too curious not to order one... and wasn't I surprised! It is a solid, well designed, well machined lens that has the functional attributes of the $13,295.00 Leica 50mm f/0.95 minus the Aspherical Element ( 35mm ASPC is the equivalent of 50mm 35MM). ... show more

  • Great all around lens, very sharp for the money
Color: 35mm F0.95 Black Size: Fit for Canon RF Mount
I’ve used this lens for around 2 weeks and it’s become a favorite of mine. Manual focusing is a tricky skill but it’s gotten easier over time. I have been using this alongside the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Brightin Star lens is sharper and faster (they do get similar results the more you stop them down). The only time I would opt for the Sigma instead is if I need autofocus (I do need to update the firmware as it’s a little unreliable on my R7 right now). I’ve used several manual lenses on my Canon R7 since there aren’t many options for lenses especially 3rd party so I definitely recommend this one as it has phenomenal optics and you won’t fire a faster lens than this. It’s tricky to nail focus at .95 but when you do, it’s very sharp. It came recommended to me by some other YouTubers who raved about it and they were t wrong. It’s perfect for street photography since it’s small. As opposed to most of my lenses, it adapts natively to my Canon since it comes in an RF mount. That really lessens the footprint. It is a little heavy since it’s made of all metal but not having an adapter more than balances things out. If you’ve never tried a manual lens before but are in the market for a fast, all around solid lens, I’d say get this one over spending over twice as much for the Canon 35mm 1.8. Autofocus is always great but if you don’t shoot moving subjects, I think you’ll find this lens and other manual focus lenses lead to more thoughtful photography. ... show more

  • Did not work with Nikon Zf
Nice solid lens, it does not feel cheap. I purchased the lens for my Nikon Zf. I put it on my camera but it seems it is not made for full frame cameras. It creates a black halo so there’s always a black outer circle. I also don’t like that my camera can’t read the F stop. There’s a lot of guessing involved when trying to take a nice picture. Also, removing the lens from the camera is not an easy feat. It’s hard to grip and there’s a lot of slipping. Unfortunately I’ll have to return this since it is basically not usable for my camera. ... show more
