Its capacity is sufficient for our basement, which is around 2,000 square feet, and it does a good job of controlling the humidity. I like that it offers different modes—especially the continuous mode, which is really useful on very humid days. The included drain hose is also convenient, so I don’t have to empty the tank manually all the time. For its size, the noise level is fairly quiet, and the wheels make it easy to move around. I have been looking for a dehumidifier for my basement for a while, and finally I bought this one which can very well meet the requirement of my basement size (~2000 sqft). It is easy to move around, easy to setup. Just turn on the power, use the hose to an external container to hold the water, and set about 8 hrs for my case so that water will not overflow. So the machine just do its work and no worry at all. it is easy to empty the container after the set hours. also there are other control options, such as set speed low or high, and humidity level target. It is easy to set, just clicking the button. It is a high quality and runs quiety and efficiently in the basement. It is worth the money with the deal.

This does not read humidity levels correctly. I bought it for a 900 ft work shop. I have a separate hygrometer that reads the level as being 88. After leaving out the 24 hours required I plugged in and it read the level as 72. I decided to give it 1 day to work. This morning it is reading 67 but hygrometer is reading 82. I put another hygrometer in there and it matches the first hygrometer. I was using the drain hose. There was some water in there but not as much as it should be because it quits shutting off when it thinks it reaches 65 level I had it set for. I a returning it and purchasing another brand.
