I regularly use my tractor to remove/install engines ant it can be hard because the hydraulic movement on the loader isn’t super smooth and super slow. This setup with this chain hoist made reinstalling an engine SO much smoother!! I won’t ever go back to the old way now. It’s got a great rate of lower/raise in my opinion. Effortless for the engine in the pic (300lbs ish). I could actually spin the dial with my bare hand to lower the engine perfectly into position.

First time for me using a chain hoist. Took a few uses in order to get the hang of it. Amazing how effortless it is on heavy items like logs! Works well loading items in the pickup truck out in the field but it's just bulky and awkward to carry. I replaced it with a smaller 1/2 ton for carrying around and that one is way more practical. I plan to eventually use it for use in the shop, just haven't worked out how to rig it up. Not a bad hoist

I've never been an electric winch guy on off-road vehicles. Call me old-fashioned, but I've always gotten by with the old come-along, which these hoists are known as. Well, my dad borrowed my old one, and now it is gone. So, I needed a replacement. I thought to check Amazon to see what they had. I came across this product for a reasonable fee, and it seemed good so I ordered it. When I unboxed it, I was deeply impressed. It is very heavy duty, and well-built. Pretty amazing. But did it work? I put it to the test. Well, it pulled a deeply buried old 5ft steel scraper blade from a dark corner of my barn with very little effort. Yeah, it took a while. But it made a lousy job possible, and now it lives perched on my off-road vehicle. I do not doubt it will pull the vehicle from a muddy hole. Buy with confidence- this is a tool, not a toy.

Takes a little getting used to operate but works great for putting pressure on a tree when falling it. Dropped a 80 footer tree and it followed come along perfect. Heavy-duty!
