Finally, I have found a jacket for the in-between weather days when Mr. Winter continues to argue with Miss Spring. Such conversations result in a somewhat chaotic Mid-West spring weather pattern. Therefore, one requires a jacket that can tackle rain, wind and cold. A traditional rain jacket keeps one dry but can be too thin to effectively block the cold wind. This jacket not only blocks the wind, it provides steady warmth with the thin thermal lining. It also keeps out dampness when Mother Nature whips up rain storms. For me, sweaters are wonderful spring attire, yet require a bit more room in the outerwear department. As a result, I have purchased a size larger than normal and am glad. The fit is great with plenty of room in the arms and chest area. My belly is my biggest issue. However, I can zip up the jacket without my belly causing fit issues for the rest of my body. The cuffs, and waistband are adjustable without looking clownish. The black material is sleek and classy; perfect for work days. The construction is strong and polished with no hanging strings. The hood is attached with draw strings so it doesn’t fall over one’s eyes. The length lands mid-thigh, so one’s back side keeps warm and dry. I’m very pleased with this jacket and highly recommend it.

I don’t leave reviews often, but this coat is exceptional for the price. Good quality, good zipper and pockets, comfortable and nice looking as to fit. I ordered a medium; I’m 5’1” and 130 lbs. There’s plenty of room for layering yet the coat gives a slim, clean silhouette. It feels comfy and warm. The styling is versatile and it could be used for anything between outdoor activities and for dressier occasions, 3 season. Very pleased!

I'm still a little on the fence about this jacket, but overall, I do like it. I just wish it were a little thicker. It is lightweight, windproof, waterproof, soft inner lining. Length is good and I like the interior elastic waist. The big inside pockets are also nice. Winters in the Midwest are cold, and this jacket is keeping me warm and dry.

Coats, jackets, blazer, button down shirts are NOT made for a true pear shape, this coat is no exception. Honestly in coats I think you have to size up unless you are very thin since most people want to wear a sweater or such under it. I usually wear a size XL in tops, 38DD and a true pear shape, wear a size 20 jeans/pants, 18 in dresses. I have thighs and a bubble butt so coats are a hard thing to come by if by any chance I want to zip or button them up which is the whole reason one wants a coat, right??? OK, so I ordered up 2 sizes after reading reviews where a couple of ladies mentioned being pear shaped, unfortunately there was not a photo, nor will I be posting 1 either. I ordered the 3xl which fits well in the bottom portion of my body, I can zip it and button it, yay me, but of course it is huge like 1 size too big in the chest area, suprise suprise, the sleeves are long but the Velcro helps cinch them in where they are comfortable, what's nice is that you can cinch it in but if you've got a booty, it's going to be a lot shorter in the back and for me that's where I want warmth, booty and thighs, what's quite lovely is that it literally buttons/zips right up to your chin, love that. Listen for the price, it's really a good buy and amazingly appears to be well made, the pockets are zippered and deep, I will not be using the inside pockets but it's a nice touch, material reminds me of tent material but not as heavy, the color cranberry is very nice with a gray lining which is also nice., I didn't want a hood, but it will come in handy when it snows. I am moving from a tropical location to the Northeast now, so I needed something that I could layer up under, not heavy and easy to wear for activities and driving, this fit the bill. I may order another one or a warmer warm same brand and size. That's my honest review; hope it helps you pear-shaped ladies!

I was fully prepared to return this coat if it looked silly on my 4'11" frame - the length might have been too extreme, or the sleeves drooping over my hands. I bought a medium to leave plenty of room for bulky sweater underneath To my surprise, the sleeves are just fine! They have elastic at the wrists inside, and an adjustable velcro strip on the outside. The length is longer than a car coat, comes to a few inches above my knees, but the length appears sleek and natural. There's an internal drawstring at the waist that I haven't quite figured out yet, but the coat is actually flattering even without a defined waist. The label says it has "4 way stretch," which may be only a little bit because I don't really feel a lot of stretch, but I guess it's just enough for a flattering fit. I can choose to zip, or just use the snaps. The hood is attached, and I was pleasantly surprised that it covered my head without drooping over to obscure my vision. And it has 2 huge internal pockets, big enough for a wallet, cell phone, and pair of gloves. It was drizzling outside this morning, so I put on the coat and stood outside - yes, it's waterproof! Lined with fleece, I think it will be perfect for a trip to cold, rainy Europe this winter, and sophisticated enough for museums and restaurants. The hood and fleece lining do not detach. I am VERY happy with this coat!

BAD sizing. I got several clothing items for my mom for Christmas, all 2X. Every item fit great except this. She told me it was too tight so I returned it and got a 3X. That was too tight and too long and cost a little more. Returning tomorrow.
