Most important consideration is there available electric power under the kitchen sink: usually one 15 amp outlet and being used by garbage disposer. Installing power for it was a little bit of a hassle due to the weird power requirements, it uses 30amps on a 120V plug which usually 30amps uses a 240 plug, I had to convince electrician to do it. Other than that can complain about it, works fast water gets really hot fast, we live in FL so water is not freezing cold, making it easier to heat water. ... show more

Yes it does have a a 110 plug on it but it also requires 25 amps to use. And if I have the flow rate set to what it should be it's flowing too fast to be heated and the best I can get out of it is 38° c.

I understand there are some natural limitations to a unit that runs on 110v, but the unit this replaced used to heat the water about 40 degrees over incoming temp, and immediately. This one does maybe half that, and takes 10-15 seconds to reach that level. It takes the edge off the ice cold water in winter, which is nice, but it's barely room temp out of the tap. It has a gauge on the front that shows the temp at 25 or 26 degrees celsius after warming up from the teens. That's 78 or 79 degrees F. ... show more
