Tape is good quality, easy to apply, and suitable to task. It is an aluminum foil tape with adhesive on one side, that is covered with a removable paper backing. I specifically bought it to seal leakages in HVAC ducting, but it does have many other uses too. It works well sealing air gaps in and around through-wall sleeve unit heating and air conditioners, and even around dryer vents. It can be used in crafts and other projects,heat shielding, and will also stop penetration by radio waves. It can be removed from the roll with the paper backing still covering the adhesive in order to cut the tape to exact size and shape needed for the task at hand. Thick and easy to work with! Easy to cut. If you're looking for a good quality metal tape, this is it! I highly recommend this product and would definitely buy it again!

This is basically thick aluminum foil that has an adhesive on one side. This is VERY handy stuff! For example, I use it in my shop to cover or line anything that may have sparks or relatively mild heat hitting it. I line the base of my metal chop saw where the sparks fly in a steady stream when cutting metal. I also line the piece of plywood under my lead pot when making fishing weights. When I accidently splash some hot lead onto the base, that aluminum prevents the board from getting burned. The aluminum soaks up and dissipates the heat from that splash quickly. It is also great for places where ordinary tape is not strong enough to take abrasions. The aluminum is not super thick, but a little thicker than most basic kitchen aluminum foil, and thus makes for a pretty tough covering. It is sold by Powerscale of Patterson NJ. I give this five stars and recommend it as a great addition to any shop or handyman's tape drawer.

Seems like a great metal tape. Easy to remove backing and it seems to stick well so far. Great to have. Seems a little pricey for one roll though.

I just used up an old roll of aluminum tape and had trouble finding similar products. Most are quite thin and only have an aluminized layer on plastic tape. This is actual aluminum tape, pretty thick and strong, similar to the old roll I ran out of. The adhesive is sticky, and the peel off backing is fairly easy to remove by rolling the edge. The adhesive sticks well to the tape itself, and to metal, plastic, rubber and foam. The only minor issue is that this tape is not perfectly smooth. You can see lines and bumps in the tape. It's not a big deal but it is visible.

Have a hole in my furnace duct work and the old tape fell off. I tried regular silver duct tape, and it shriveled up and melted. No go. Obviously I needed a high-temp tape. The photo I took is after a complete heating cycle. So far, so good! It's exactly what I needed, and it works perfectly. 5 stars.

I typically go through 3 or 4 rolls of foil tape each year and have tried numerous brands. This PowerScale brand tape compares favorably with others I’ve used. The foil is decently thick, and the adhesion is good. I just ran another return air duct at our home and this tape worked great. With any foil tape, there will be times when applying mastic to your work is necessary... but no more so with this product than any others. It seems fairly priced.
