There are several similar units on Amazon, but I chose this one because of the quality build, hi-res built-in 14" monitor, and very low price. The unit is a bit heavy (as are all the others), because it is make of steel, and has a built-in area to hold the included spare parts (or the removeable joystick if you need to close the cover). USAGE: Most of the games use the same few control buttons, and I have yet to find a game that uses them all. The game unit also includes a basic playstation style controller that does most everything that the game unit buttons do. SUGGESTION: The backside has a removeable 64MB micro SD card. On half is Linux is a free stable operating system (e.g. your TV), and on the other half is 28,000 games and the free emulators required to play them. All such game units use the same software, but that also means that the entire unit becomes a paperweight if that SD card becomes corrupt. So...order a 64GB u3 Micro-SD card. Once your game unit arrives, save its SD card as an image (use the free win32diskimager or similar) and then write that image to your spare SD card, and store that spare card in the game unit's storage area. ... show more
