I got this storage ottoman to fit a small space in front of my couch for toy storage. I think this would last with careful adult use, but if you intend for it to be used by children, don't expect it to stand the test of time. The lid is a bit more durable, but the base is quite thin, almost like an upholstered fabric bin made of cardboard. I can't imagine an adult sitting on this without irreparable damage. The "leather" is also thin, and gives me the impression it'll be easy to scratch ( see my cat?) It will serve its purpose in my house for now, but I am prepared for it not to last.

This was super easy to assemble as it basically just unfolded. It has a sturdy bottom and the sides have withstood my 6 year old using it as a hiding spot (it’s actually a pretty great spot to hide). Pressing on the sides will def make them cave in a bit, but it’s more like they’re flexible, not buckling or bending. I use it to store like 5 blankets since we apparently need several blankets on the couch at one time; this way I can rotate them out while the others are being washed. My kids love to sit on it regularly while I do their hair or to watch tv. (They weigh about 55 lbs each). I’ve also sat on for a few minutes at a time, and it feels super sturdy. The stitching is a nice detail. Side note, my cats are also very fond of scratching this, but it doesn’t have any rips, just a couple nail holes. Overall a useful addition to our living room!
