Total Length (Front of Dial to End of Stem): 3.5" Stem + Fitting Length (Back of Dial to End of Stem): 3" Stem Length (End of NPT Fitting to End of Stem): About 3" Dial Size (Diameter of Dial): 3.5". This instrument has a wide range of uses including Moonshine Stills - Brewing Pots - Mash Tun - Boilers - Attachments to Copper Tubing - Guaranteed Stainless Steel bi-metal with internal non-stainless components that never touch your brew. Every part that touches the work is made of stainless steel so it will not leech anything into your brew or taint the flavoring. Has an easy to read 3" dial gauge with both degrees Fahrenheit and degrees Celsius measurements - has 2% accuracy so you know your reading the right temperature - screws directly into a 1/2" Female Stainless or Copper Fitting, Comes complete with weldless thermowell bulkhead.

    • Heavy, well built.
I went through just about every similar thermometer on Amazon, and this is the one that stood out to me. From the pictures provided by the seller it looked like a well built solid product, and then it was delivered.. and it was much better than expected. It is heavy, appears to be sealed will and responds fast. Giving into my childlike nature, I held it in my hand, grasping it by the probe end. It went from the ambient temperature in my house (78, accurate on the face dial) to 94 degrees (external skin temp) verified by a thermo scanner. I know not exactly a scientific method, but accurate enough for me. The only thing I would change is maybe a longer probe to get deeper into the product. But in all honesty, after weighing the pros and cons for a couple of weeks on multiple products, this is the one I choose. I plan to buy another soon to monitor another part of my project. ... show more

The thermometer is well made and is solid. It reads 5-7 degrees low. There is no obvious way to recalibrate. I have to use another thermometer or compensate for the incorrect reading. Would have been cheaper to plug the hole on my mash tun and use my other thermometer.

Very inaccurate, but it is heavy duty, looks great. Just know how much it is off and it will keep a very accurate inaccurate temperature.

Works perfectly. the dial is larger than I expected, which is for the better since it is easy to read and looks cool. NPT fittings are as advertised and fit well with a female copper fitting

The description says it is 3" which it is not, it is only 2" as it is stated on the box.. Its a little small for a smoker.

Does not come with a nut as shown in the picture. The stem is a touch too long for a 2" still column. Appears to be a decent quality temp gauge.
