Defective Frame, Unsafe and Unusable
The quality of this sofa is absolutely terrible. During assembly, I immediately noticed that the most important part, the metal frame, was welded incorrectly. Instead of being aligned vertically as it should be, it was welded crooked to one side, as shown in the photos. This defect ended up causing a major issue. The left side of the sofa collapses even after sitting on it for a short time because the wooden support underneath keeps falling out, as shown in the photos. As a result, the left side of the sofa is essentially unusable. Before it first collapsed, I was sitting on it normally without concern, but it suddenly gave way. When it did, I hit my arm against the hard metal part of the sofa, which caused bruising and swelling. This is completely unacceptable. I understand this is not a very expensive sofa, but it is still around $300. How is it possible that the basic welding, which is critical to the structure, is done this poorly? This is extremely frustrating and disappointing.
