  • Got the job done in a 94 F250 IDIT
Truck still had the original 4 row super woopty cooling package radiator in it. Couldnt find a reasonably priced 4 row replacement, and a lot of the 3 row replacement units were plastic. Ended up with this one due to price and build materials. Unit appeared real nice upon delivery, nice welds, nice looking core, and a plastic drain plug. Ugh. Upon replacement i observed as others noted, the small heater hose restrictor fitting on your original radiator wont thread into the bung on the bottom of this radiator on the passenger side. Plug the hose with a big bolt and use the provided metal plug with tef tape to git er done. The fitment of the radiator was great, all mounting holes and clip mounting locations were spot on, however the lower rad hose fitting is smaller than my original with the super cooling package. I had to use two hose clamps on the lower hose to get it to seal tight. I later found a hose reducer sleeve made by gates. Weak sauce had to drain my coolant again to install the hose reducer and make the lower hose fit right. NO WORRIES i already had to drain it again anyway to fix the leak from the PLASTIC DRAIN screw on the driver side. Ugh. Eventually found some barbed hose fittings to fit the oddball metric 12x1.25 threads for the integral trans cooler and got that all connected. Many moons later its been working great after some initial grief. Running nice and cool. Ended up using the capped off heater hose line from the original radiator as a feed line for a coolant filter, so that worked out. 4 star unit for me. Could easily be a 2 star unit for an individual with poor critical thinking skills. ... show more

  • A nicely built unit with adaptability issues....
The radiator itself is nicely built and fit into my truck without problems. My truck is a 1990 F250 with 7.3L IDI engine, That said, the plumbing issues are a complete mess! For an item to be suitable for use in my truck, it fails miserably with regard to the connections for cooling hoses, transmission connections, etc. The radiator mounting dimensions were perfect allowing for the original fasteners to be used. I had read from a recent review posted by another reviewer that the transmission lines connecting fittings were 12 x 1.25 mm, so I ordered a pair of these fittings. THEY DID NOT FIT! The very least the manufacturer should have included is a list of attachment fittings required for a complete installation. The small fitting below the radiator fill cap, at the filler neck, intended for the coolant overflow tank connection was NOT included, leaving a hole needing to be filled with the proper connecting fitting. Again, the radiator itself is of good quality and many of the issues I encountered could have easily been addressed by the manufacturer of the radiator by including a list of parts required for a complete installation. I still believe that this item is of good value and quality, notwithstanding the issues mentioned above. ... show more

  • Worth it
6 months in, so far great. truck seems to run cooler and theoretically probably does. it’s aluminum so it also should dissapate heat better than the original copper core. not only that, but mine was leaking and filled with gunk. fresh coolant, radiator, hoses, and some distilled water and she’s running better than ever. everything bolted up just as it should. Truck is a 1992 f250 regular cab 7.3 idi n/a zf5 4x4 ... show more

  • Not sure how well it works, engine had other problems, returned before I leaned that
[Review updated at bottom] '85 F350, 1 Ton pickup. 6.9L V8, C6 automatic transmission. Left a 1 star review years ago. Since then I have learned more of this truck and if it’s cooling system. The leak I was experiencing likely wasn’t from this unit, nor can I say the overheating was the fault of this unit. Turns out for my engine, you cannot use third party thermostats. Improperly installed and the wrong style thermostat Linley led to the overheating and leak I witnessed, Not this unit, as such I have changed my review to 3 stars to be neutral. I may yet purchase this unit now that I have that issue taken care of. ... show more

  • Fits and performs flawlessly
I used this on my 94 7.3L powerstroke and it fits as good as oem and performs even better!! Plus this one is cheaper than any aftermarket oem style heavy duty cooling radiator. This one is and exact match.

  • This is a good product.
This radiator received badly damaged. After rebuilding it, I installed it on my truck, the radiator fell into place well. From the native radiator, you need to pull out the supporting rubber bands and put them in a new radiator. All radiator connections are original size. There is a heat exchanger on the radiator for the automatic transmission, these outlets can be left open if you have a shift stick like mine. On these outputs, I put on rubber caps to protect. I also used wide power clamps for a good connection. ... show more

  • Definitely works!
I had an overheating issue with my truck a while back. I went ahead and removed the thermostat as a temporary fix and it work for a while. Stock radiator finally blew out, so I bought this. Now it won't heat up enough and I have to reinstall my thermostat 🤣 I just got it installed tonight, so I'll update my review as I put miles on it ... show more

  • I had it put in an hour
The only thing that I would change was the hardware doesn't come with it.
