I've been trying alternative water filters for my Britta because the name brands are just SO expensive these days. My favorites have been the Amazon brand so far but these are a close second. When I opened these I had doubts. These are lighter than other filters I've tried making me think they maybe wouldn't "filter" as well but they fit my Britta pitcher perfectly and I followed their instructions and tried them out. The instructions say to dump the first three pitchers of filtered water which I did but when I tasted the water it was a little off. I was sure these didn't work well at all but to be fair I decided to fill up and dump another pitcher of water before filling it up and tasting it again…I really wanted these to work…AND IT DID! The water tasted great after that last filter. I was surprised and happy and will say to everybody reading this, "dump the first FOUR pitchers of water before using". I'll add that maybe because these seem lighter and maybe have less filtering material in them, the water filters faster through them and so my pitcher fills up faster. I appreciate this knowing that they still seem to filter fine and I like not having to wait as long if I want water and my pitcher is low. Like I said, I prefer the Amazon brand over these but I've only been using this for a week now and will update after two months. Between these and the Amazon brand of filters I think I can rest assured I'll be able to save some money not buying the more expensive name brand filters anymore : ) 4 stars because they're good but not as good as the Amazon brand. *On one of the pictures of the filter you might notice some purple markings, this is just a reflection from a plant light I have, the filter has no marks on it.

I was nervous about these. I have a really old Britta. And even though it says on the packaging that it fits all Britta's I was a little worried. But it did. In fact, in mine, it actually fit better than the brand name filter. The brand filter fits tight and can be a little hard to get out and water actually stopped going through them all but a trickle. I Don't know what that is all about. I just know that it's happened the last two times I bought the brand filters for my Britta. I would have to wait quite a while for all the water to empty the container. These fit more loose but perfect. No water leaks around the side. And water goes through the filter nicely as it should. Water taste fine. And seems to last the same amount of time. No way to really tell with they stop working on these or the regular Britta filters. But I definitely recommend thhem.

I drink a lot of coffee and coffee just tastes better when brewed with cool crisp freshly filtered water. So, needless to say that my Britta picture gets used a lot. I go through a few filters a year and am always on the look out for quality replacement filters that are less expensive than the original OEM filters. I have had a mostly positive experience with these replacement filters. They filter very well. Water comes through clean with a wonderful neutral taste. They also have a great flow rate. Water flows through at the same rate as the OEM Britta filters. Not too slowly and not too fast. My one complaint about these filters is that, while they fit my Britta pitcher, some of the filters do not create as perfect of a seal as they should. It look like it is because the upper lip isn’t always perfectly rounded (see attached photo). It hasn’t been a huge problem. I just accept that there may be very minimal seepage of unfiltered water. Certainly not enough to worry me. In the end, I am going to use up all of these filters but will probably go with another brand next time.

I bought these as a pack of 3, they say they’re universal and will fit a britta container. The one I have anyway. It doesn’t fit right, and leaks at the top of the seal so the all of the water doesn’t even go through the filter. Waste of money, don’t but these.
