I am reviewing these for free as an Amazon Vine Reviewer. I wanted to try these because the last sponge I used scratched up my acrylic tank quite a bit. These sponges are really durable and have two sides. One side is nice and soft eva material and the other side reminds me of an emory board in terms of gritty-ness. I only used the soft EVA side on my acrylic tank to make sure I didn't scratch it up more. But the grittier side seems like it would be safe to use on a glass tank, too. The sponges are pretty firm compared to a kitchen soft scrub sponge which make them nice to use because you don't have to apply as much force while scrubbing off the algae in the tank. Since these have a gritter side, you could use these as a fine sanding block for hobby purposes too. I would not hesitate to buy these again. ... show more
