This topper does not smell. It is exactly as described. The cover is included and it has a zipper. It's machine washable with a rubbery kind of non-slip bottom. You can flip the topper over as it might reduce wear - I can't speak to that. And of course you would remove the cover before you flip it over. It was easy to unwrap from the packaging and took only 24 hours to come to full form, even though I waited for the recommended 48 hrs. It fits my queen bed nicely. It has adjustable straps, so it's adaptable to a range of mattress thicknesses. It's described as medium-firm. I do wish it was a little softer and hope it will soften a bit over time. But even on the first night, my 70 year old bones felt better. Also, I'm a warm sleeper but this topper does not make me any warmer. It might even make me feel a little cooler but it's too hard to tell since the weather has been warmer than usual lately. My advice: Don't spend a fortune on a new mattress until you give this topper a try. If it doesn't work out, maybe you can use it for camping - it's not that expensive. It seems most new mattresses have some sort of topping built in as the top layer on top of the main mattress part with the springs. And that's the reason you can't flip new mattresses. So this topper might make your existing mattress feel as great as a new mattress.

This compares to previous ones I've bought from a bulk warehouse store that everybody knows. Love the zippered case, it feels so luxurious! I thought about not putting a sheet on the bed & just sleeping with it since you can wash the cover anyway. The adjustable straps are a huge plus! They're were why I bought this. I have a very thick/tall mattress, the straps were maxed out on my bed. Even so, the straps have never slipped off. I didn't notice any shifting at all with this topper, it has stayed put. I bought the 3" & it's firm but cushy enough to be comfy & give me the support I need.

Purchased this 3 inch mattress topper in the twin xl size for my daughter’s college dorm bed. The size was perfect. We were worried about her not being able to sleep since she wouldn’t be in her bed at home but she loved it and said she slept even better, lol. She said she sank into the mattress topper and it felt very comfortable and cozy. We had to wait a little while for it to decompress after we unwrapped it but it was no big deal since we took that opportunity to organize something else in the dorm room in the meantime. I love that it has a cover that can be zipped up to wash in case she spills something on it. I also love the corner straps that keep it from slipping off, very convenient. The pricing was not bad considering there are mattress toppers out there that cost upwards of $300. Good value for the price we paid. Highly recommend this mattress topper.

You will need to lay out the mattress pad in the floor for it to expand for 24 to 48 hours which is why I am giving this 4 stars. It is definitely 5 star quality for price. It's very soft but firm. It's not very hot when you sleep on it. It lays flat right on top of the mattress making it a great mattress topper. The quality over all seems really good. I've been sleeping on it for like 2 weeks now and it's helped me with back pain i was experiencing before i got this so I am happy I bought it

I purchased this queen size, memory foam mattress topper because the expensive mattress that I bought online lasted about 6 months before lower back issues started. I could barely straighten up when I got out of bed in the morning. Then arrives this 3 inch memory foam mattress topper...so far, so fantastic! Of course, only time will tell, but I have not had any pain in the week or so that it has been on my bed. When you lay down on it, it is like a cloud that surrounds you but doesn't sink in too far...you just sort of nestle in and your body totally relaxes, I love it! I am a back and a side sleeper, but since getting this mattress topper, I sleep on my back only and never really move much during the night, which to me, is a great sign. Of course, just over a week is nothing, but if I can get a year out of this topper, I will be a very happy camper and glad to buy another one from same manufacturer to replace it, considering what I paid for it. I will try to remember to come back and update this review in a few months as I know this really isn't helpful after using it for such a short time. It does seem like good quality but then again, what do any of us know about memory foam, really. All I know is that now, I have no pain in the morning, and I sleep like a baby. Exactly what I was looking for! Update! Still loving it after almost 2 months! No lower back pain, I don't want to get up in the morning, it's so comfortable! But when I do get up, I feel so good, no pain at all and I make my bed and enjoy the rest of my day. Sometimes I look at my bed in the afternoon and think, "Soon I will be joining you for a luxurious night of relaxation and bliss, I can hardly wait!" After a certain age, it's amazing what excites us. 😁

Excellent. I don't know why I never brought a topper/memory foam for my mattress earlier. Soft. No pain when laying/sleeping on top of it. My hips, back and shoulders are thanking me. Love the zip up cover for it as well. It smelled for alittle longer then 24 hours but it dissipated soon after. I didn't appreciate the smell. It was giving me headaches. Thankfully the smell is no more.

My idea of a High Density mattress topper would be one that is extra firm and supports your body without sinking into the the topper. Once I aired the mattress topper for 48 hours there was no smell. The topper layed flat without curling. The topper protects my original mattress wonderfully. The Valuxe though, is NOT high density nor extra firm, or even firm. I sunk into the 4” foam and could not roll over. There is no firmness to the topper. Thus, if you are looking for firm, this mattress topper is not what you want.
