I can't speak for durability, but my poor old painful hips got instant relief. Wonderful! I bought the 3-inch, and it is deep and plush so take that into account, as if you have trouble moving in the bed, the deeper one may cause difficulty in that regard. For those who like firm surfaces to sleep on - this is not the pad for you. It's soft and deep and perfect for those of us with bone pain.

The only thing you have to get right in this mattress topper is the straps underneath .. you don't want them to tight it it will bunch up and it to looseir the topper will move... It's a trial and error but eventually when you get it right it's perfect . It's cool to the body and definitely comfy. I bought Calif. King and I'm impressed by it . Worth the $ and cheaper than an entire new mattress .

I got this in hopes that it would improve my old mattress. It did not. My mattress was sinking in the middle and this just made it worse. It's firm enough that it puts uncomfortable pressure points on my hips (I'm strange though, it's a really weird problem that you guys don't have), but not firm enough to support my body weight. So it sinks in the middle where I'm heavier, and my feet and head are too light to sink. I'm a side skeeper, so my spine is bent to the side and is pretty horrible. I got a new mattress (which I'm not happy with either but at least it's flat) and still had the same problem when I tried this topper on it. This topper SHOULD be good (for most people) as long as it's on a FIRM base that you basically don't sink into at all (maybe depending on your weight I'm 130 lbs). The adjustable straps are good and keep it in place. I wasn't able to return it. First because my husband and I couldn't get it into the box, but maybe we would have taken to UPS anyway and seen what they could, but then we waited to test it on the new mattress and after that it was too late. We have a blow up mattress for guests that would probably be greatly improved by this though, and we have guests coming in a couple months, so I'll update if I'm wrong and find it completely useless. But it SEEMS like a nice product and should be good in the right situation. I'll bump up the stars (at 3 now) if I'm impressed with what it does for the air mattress.
