I guess my title pretty much tells you that there’s an issue with putting the three characters together to make into one big transforming character, and this is even with two adults who each tried to do it for the child of four almost 5 years old. I consider this a toy that a child may play with for a short while and then Forget about it, but as far as that goes the price is very reasonable. Playing with the three of them separately was fun for the little guy and he probably plays with it for a couple hours which keeps him from watching TV or playing on his tablet for a while and that is a good thing.

Right idea, horrible execution. No instructions, no peace. Quality: The material is a mix of metal and plastic, which sounds sturdy — until the pieces start popping off mid-transformation. Some joints are so stiff you’re scared to break it, and others fall apart if you breathe wrong. Price Point: Decent price for a STEM toy if it worked smoothly. But without instructions and with this many pieces? It’s just a headache in a box. Functionality/Use: No clear guide, no labeled parts — just vibes and guesswork. My kid tapped out after 10 minutes and handed it to me like I was the engineer. You’ll need YouTube, patience, and possibly tweezers. Bonus: Could’ve been fun, but without instructions or a logical way to figure out the 7 shapes, it’s more frustrating than educational.

My grandson loves them. A little fiddley to get together as the bigger robot but he prefers them as the separate robots anyhow.

This was a free product. However, I have no incentive to be biased towards or against this product. My only real con is the product packaging (not to be confused with the shipping box). Each of the dogs come in a loosely fitting half plastic shell. Which are packaged in a box that is too big for the three of them. That means that they were free to bounce around during transit. One thing that aesthetically disturbs me is that the dogs' heads do not cover or hide the robots' heads. I'm an adult and care about things like that, but kids probably won't care at all. Since these are for kids, I can be okay with this. The final form of the transforming dogs is kind of bulky. However, you can see that from the product page. So, it's not like it's a surprise. Again, kids will probably not care about that. All in all, kids will have fun playing with these in any of the forms. Even though I gave it four stars (deducted star for product packaging), I still have no problem recommending this to anyone who has kids 5 years old or older.

Very simple transformers. It's a simple toy, not like the complex transformer toys of old. They combine by separating two of the robots and attaches very easily. Mostly the kids play with it individually. They decently well made and should last a bit.

These are cute toys, but I wouldn't pay the $24 price in-store. I didn't really look at the dimensions, but they are only about 4 inches tall. Their parts move well, but they are mostly plastic. I'm not sure how well they will hold up when my 7 yr old grandson is playing with them. I'm giving these as part of his bday gift in September. I will update this review based on how well he likes them and how they hold up when he's run them through their paces. For now, too pricey for what you get.
