Received a broken tank, requested a replacement, and the replacement arrived broken too. These tanks are shipped in the original retail box with no additional protection, which is completely unacceptable for such a fragile item. worked great for about three months and out of nowhere it started leaking all over the place and wouldn’t hold water. no cracks in the glass, everything stills in place where it should be so we’re still confused.

Size: 5 Gallon
Only had this tank set up for a couple weeks so far. The tank itself seems really nice and is very clear. The light and heater are plug and go with little to no direction needed for installation and use. The filter has adjustable flow which is great for delicate setups. It does need to be primed and sounds like a box of rocks going off for the first few seconds of operation but overall it is super quiet and works well. The price point is hard to beat for a full set up of similar quality that you could find at a box store. I drop the stars down to 3/5 since my lid arrived damaged. It is chipped in corners and the little alignment legs are halfway glued on and also broken. The lid forces you to have the light, heater, and filter in very specific locations because of the cut outs in it. It works, but I will have to find a better solution for this since I have plants in the tank that will eventually grow above the water level. Because the lid is damaged, I'll just have to keep a closer eye on the water level and top it off more often. No big deal since this will be a shrimp tank. If you're looking for a less expensive way of getting into the hobby, this is a decent buy. I like that it came with a leveling mat(2mm thick foam JUST big enough for the tank to sit on), a net, and some cleaning tools. I really love the clarity of the glass. Just wish it didn't feel like a return being sold as new. Overall I would recommend this tank set up. Don't expect it to be absolutely perfect though. ... show more
