Edit: The company offered a full refund, which I appreciated. I am very disappointed. The software was a little bit laggy overall but I could live with it. Just today though, 2 days after the return window, mysteriously it stopped working. It turns on, but it beeps twice and the arm wouldn't activate, it would just hang loose. I tried recalibration but it didn't help. Not worth the money for something you can barely use for 30 days!

UPDATE #1: After this review was posted, the seller contacted me and offered what I felt was more than fair compensation. I turned it down since I was able to cobble together a crude replacement which, while not ideal, does the job of the original knob. UPDATE #2: I exchanged emails with the seller discussing the challenges of stocking replacement parts for a seller in China and I certainly can understand that. The seller also insisted on sending a replacement unit at no charge, and I accepted the offer. I will say that it is clear that the seller wants to do everything possible to have only happy customers. One of the things I liked about this gimbal is the replaceable battery. This allows me to carry charged spares, and of course replace a defective battery -- something you generally can't do with most devices with internal rechargeable batteries. It was this feature that tipped the balance in my picking it. I also found this gimbal to be reasonably easy to use, but... Both the side zoom knob and small joy stick button eventually came off the gimbal and were lost. The zoom knob was not a problem for me since I don't use it, but the missing joy stick button is needed for all other manual controls. This might not make a difference to you if you use the app exclusively, but I really need that control. So for me the device is now pretty much useless -- all for the lack of a 10 cent part. Since NO parts are available, that also means you're out of luck if you lose the battery door as well, which is held in place magnetically. I can understand not stocking small replacement parts for inexpensive items, but the investment in a device like this is not trivial, and it should not be rendered disposable for lack of a simple part that the manufacturer could easily keep on hand and supply to their customers.
