This weighted aeration hose ended up being much easier to work with than standard lightweight pond tubing. The self-sinking design actually stays down on the bottom instead of constantly floating back up or needing extra weights every few feet. That alone made pond setup cleaner and a lot less frustrating, especially when running longer air lines across deeper sections. What stood out most was how solid and heavy-duty the hose feels once installed. The tubing does not kink nearly as easily while unrolling, and the included clamps and menders make connecting sections surprisingly simple. Airflow has remained consistent throughout the full length without noticeable restriction, and the hose settles naturally into place instead of twisting around like thinner airline tubing tends to do. The overall material quality feels very nice for the price range. The outer wall feels thicker than expected and holds up well around rocks, pond edges, and normal outdoor handling without immediately flattening or collapsing. It especially helps when trying to keep the pond setup looking cleaner and more professional instead of having visible floating airline everywhere. Too early to fully judge long-term UV and weather durability after multiple seasons outdoors, but so far the tubing has stayed flexible and the fittings have remained tight without leaks. The weighted design also still sinks evenly across the pond bottom instead of sections popping back up after running continuously. Between the self-sinking performance, easier pond installation, strong airflow consistency, durable tubing feel, cleaner pond appearance, solid included hardware, reduced kinking, dependable underwater placement, practical aeration setup convenience, and overall value for the money, this aeration hose kit feels much more dependable and user-friendly than standard lightweight pond airline tubing online. I ordered this to redo my diving duck pond, and one of the main reasons I chose this particular hose was because it’s self-sinking. That is a huge advantage for ponds, especially deeper ones, because the last thing I want is hose floating around where my birds are swimming and diving. I have smew’s that deep dive for their food, so having the aeration hose stay down at the bottom where it belongs is very important. This hose lays down nicely instead of constantly trying to float back up, which makes setup much cleaner and easier compared to standard tubing. The hose itself feels durable and heavy duty. It doesn’t feel flimsy or like it’s going to kink easily. I also appreciate that it comes with the stainless steel and copper menders because it gives you extra flexibility for repairs or adjustments later without having to immediately order extra fittings separately. The 100-foot length was great for what I needed and gave me enough room to redesign the pond layout properly. Aeration is extremely important in water used for ducks and aquatic birds, especially during warmer weather, so I wanted something that would hold up outdoors long term. Overall, this seems to be a very good quality weighted aeration hose that works exactly as intended. If you’re setting up a pond, aquaculture system, or water feature and need tubing that actually stays at the bottom instead of floating everywhere, this is definitely worth considering. The hose does stay at the bottom as expected, which makes pond setup cleaner and easier to manage. It provides steady airflow and works well enough for small pond or aquaculture aeration systems. The hose is flexible and reasonably easy to work with without constantly kinking. The fitting overall material quality feel average, and it doesn't feel as heavy-duty as more premium aeration kits.

It was apparent that I've never actually handled sinking hose before because when I picked this hose up out of the box, it weighed about five times what I expected it to 🤣 On the farm here we keep a variety of hoses for plant irrigation, animal watering, chemical or organic applications, and even pond life. I've had ponds before, but none with any reason to have weighted and self sinking hose. This is as heavy as my heavy duty garden hoses. I'm gathering products to upgrade our duck pools into a more permenant solution with hard plumbed drain line and aeration/filtration. When this came across my vine feed, I got so excited. I want to include pond aeration but was concerned with loose hoses causing hazards or trapping and tangling duck feet/legs. This weighted aeration hose is a great solution and will sink and also allow the hose to be buried in substrate like gravel/rock. There is plenty of hose here to do so many things... and a fully planted and established vegetative pond isn't out of the question someday either. So glad I found this product. The hose is heavy duty, it's soft and flexible, but thick enough that it doesn't feel like it's going to easily crimp or kink/puncture. It does smell pretty offending fresh out the box, but that's rubber for you! I love that it's shrink wrapped to keep it from getting out of control although I think it would be pretty cool if it came in a self dispensing box. There are very small and appropriately sized hose clamps included.

I got this for my pond not realizing that I actually needed something to run through the hose. That was my fault. It comes with everything you need. It has four copper vendors. It has eight stainless steel clamps and it’s 100 foot long. The actual hose itself is heavy duty. It is self sinking. It does exactly what it says. I would recommend to pull it out and let it get warm in the sun, which makes it so much easier to put it around your pond. This is perfect to keep in your pond, fountains, lakes, anything that you want for deicing and getting airflow through to keep your pond healthy. It hasn’t bothered my fish in anyway I think overall it’s a great product and easy to install. We had no issues.

We recently decided to upgrade the aeration system in our backyard pond to help keep the water moving and healthy for the fish. The standard plastic tubing we tried before kept floating to the surface and looking messy. I got this weighted hose kit hoping it would stay out of sight along the bottom of the pond liner. The rubber material is incredibly thick and heavy. As soon as we fed it into the water, it sank directly to the bottom without needing any extra weights or rocks to hold it down. One thing that really helped the installation was laying the entire length of hose out in the hot afternoon sun for a few hours. It softens up the rubber just enough to take the tight coils out, making it much easier to route around the edges of the pond. The included stainless steel clamps and copper menders made splicing it into our air pump super simple. It feels like a very durable setup that will last for years underwater. The cost is definitely worth it for the clean look it gives our pond.

I have a smaller pond ( about 30 x 80 ) and I'd really like to keep it a bit more clear. I got a pump recently and needed a hose. This is 100 feet so I can put the pump in a nice safe location away from the pond. It's certainly weighted, the whole roll is heavy. The diameter of the hose fit my pump exactly. It comes with a bunch of connectors and stainless steel clamps. I don't have the aerator yet so I'm not sure on the final configuration but having those makes options much easier in the long run. The price is good and the quality of the hose and parts is excellent. It just feels like it's going to last a long time. I am pleased with this purchase for sure.

This is a great length and air flows well and it stays on bottom well too but it’s super easy to kink and is difficult to handle unless you’re being super careful so I’m feeling kind of mixed about this product
