I needed a 3nM - 30nM torque wrench to complete repairs to an Electric Vehicle Charger. This one was perfect. It is very well made, easy to use, and has its own carrying case, batteries, 3/8” to 1/4” adapter and e xtension. Even comes with a screwdriver to remove and install the battery compartment cover.

Accuracy seems to be good. Positives are the backlight and easy to read display. Tracking mode shows real time torque information as pressure is applied. Led indicators to show when applied torque is reached as well as audible tone. Negatives are the cheap Chinese build quality. Almost has a toy like appearance rather than a precision tool. Case is cheap with plastic hinges and latches. Came with a screwdriver to take off battery cover which is comical. Hopefully this holds up to my timing belt replacement project. Will give updates if I run into any problems. 1/2 inch version

I have used my wrench three times, each time about 6-8-weeks apart. I remove the batteries after use to avoid possible acid damage. The 4th time I tried to use it, After turning it on the dial says 11 Ft/Lb and nothing I can do with the buttons will allow me to change that. I contacted VAMPO support. They sent a replacement in 2-days. Great wrench. Great support!

It worked great while it was working, but after around 11 months it does not let me adjust the torque setting anymore. :( sad because it was really helpful for more precise torques. Tried to leave the batteries out for over a month hoping it would reset in the chip or something, but no luck. It's stuck at the 19 ft pounds I had set it to a few months ago on my last project where I needed a more precise torque wrench. I press the up and down arrow and the screen just freaks out. It still counts down to torque applied but I'm unable to change the setting off of 19 ft pounds :( other wise it's a good project but leaves it practically unusable like this unless I can get my head in to watch the torque happen on the screen (I own a Subaru so that isn't often lol). Always put back in its case and stored in my room with my other precision/valuable tools I don't keep in the garage (bore scope, torque wrenches, etc) and I handled it with care.

Update: Raising the stars from 1 to 3. Customer service offered me a refund and apologized for the experience. Maybe I got a lemon, but at least there's good customer service. Trash... Tool couldn't make it through a single job. Half way through torqueing the bolts (10-18ft/lb range) for a timing belt job the wrench started showing torque while no load was applied. Power off/on several times and batteries out reset didn't matter. Still shows torque being applied as soon as it's powered on. Bought months ago and just took it out to use it so I'm outside the return period. I have bought a lot of tools on Amazon, this one is BY FAR the worst experience.
