    • Did a teardown and these are Nice!
I needed a couple of SAE pig tails (connectors plus a few inches of cable) to make a short extension cable with soldered an inline switch. Also need to make some parallel battery jumpers out of some good wire but ran out. Decided it was cheaper to buy a longer extension cable, chop it up and keep the left over cable for wiring other stuff. Definitely voided the warranty! I discovered the stranded wire is high quality copper, through and through. There is no tinning on each strand (I don’t think that was advertised, will have to double check) but for my purposes, I prefer pure copper so it’s absolutely fine. The end connector on the one I got looks more like all my others and not as slick as the one pictured but it’s totally nice / it does not bother me. The cable insulating is thick but flexible. It’s a dark red which I also prefer over the brigbt red ones. The cable is dense, not hollow feeling like some cheap cables feel. I measured the gauge when stripping the wires back and it is true 12awg. So far, it’s holding up great. Will update if things change. ... show more

So handy to have around! I have a couple of chargers that use these SAE connectors rather than the usual clamps you see on chargers which makes it easy to keep things like cars, UTV's, tractors and motorcycles charged up and ready to go. I have these SAE leads already in place on most of my vehicles that have batteries and it makes it so convenient to hook them up to a charger and keep the batteries in good shape. The problem is, to use the SAE connectors often means having to get an extension cord out too because the connection from the charger is relatively short. Having an extension like this available makes it so much easier and quicker to use. I like that the connections are safe and solid...no mistaking the wrong terminals with these, they only connect one way and that's the right way. Also the cord comes with safety covers for both ends when not in use to protect them from getting damaged. They work great and make the job of hooking up my "toys" to a charger so much easier. I needed about 2.5 feet and this worked perfectly to extend the length of my SAE cable. I didn't want to cut up my existing cable with the SAE lead and this worked perfectly. To my surprise, this cable was very well made, is of decent quality and thickness and should easily handle the 6-8 amps I am putting thru the cable. I love the fact that it came with the covers on the cables with keepers as well. This was a high quality and well built cable with solid copper not tinned as others may use which equals high build quality. Would definately recommend! ... show more
