  • Affordable Carbon Fiber Pool Cue
Style Name: Carbon Cue
When I was growing up, a few friends had pool tables in their family homes, so I would play, and sometimes a buddy of mine and I would go to a neighborhood pool parlor, where a rack of balls was cheap, and we'd goof around. So, years later, I am completely unfamiliar with the "tools of the trade," but did a bit of research before making this review. Carbon fiber cues last essentially a lifetime, don't warp like the wood cues of my teenage years, and can be expensive. Looking around the Web, they usually go for $300 to $400 for average models, and skyrocket up to $1600+ for top-tier sticks. At $139, this is an attractive price point for entry level, beginners, and "nubes," like me, coming back to the game. "Cue King" is most likely a brand made to be sold on Amazon. They make a few cues, billiard ball sets, and some accessories. This looks impressive, and seems to be made well. The fittings are all machined well, come with male/female machined aluminum thread protectors, stainless steel fittings, and what appears to be a dense, solid cue tip. There is a rubber bumper on the butt end. It is standard length 58", and feels balanced, solid, but lightweight, due to the carbon fiber construction. There's no wobble, and it rolls on the table without any irregularities. Returning to the game, I am a total amateur, and as such, I'm sure many nuances are lost on me, but this seems to be an excellent carbon fiber cue for the money. I got this through the Amazon Vine program, and the offer was for the cue without the case. There is a "leather" case for an additional $20, and if it is genuine leather, (it won't be,) I'd probably go that route. Even nylon/vinyl soft cases are $25+ ... show more

  • Very nice cue for the price. It's a little butt heavy until the weight bolt is removed.
Style Name: Carbon Cue
It's pretty hard to believe the quality of the inexpensive carbon fiber cues these days. I have several "inexpensive" carbon shafts that cost roughly $200, and they're absolutely no better than the shaft on this cue. What a bargain! Anyway, the cue is nicely finished. The joint is smooth, the tip is properly shaped, and the balance, once the weight in the butt is removed, is great. With the weight it's noticeably butt-heavy. Fortunately (if you like a 19 oz cue) the cue is exactly 19 oz with the weight removed. Aesthetically, it's nice looking (if you like the carbon look), with a highly polished stainless joint and butt end. Additionally, the "Cue King" logo is reasonably subtle. It plays great, particularly if you're already accustomed to carbon shafts. If it's your first time gong from maple to carbon there's a bit of an adjustment curve, but it's worth it in the long run. Ah, mine was missing one of the joint protectors. I believe it was included but slipped out of the box during shipping. A small matter. Recommended! ... show more

  • Great Pool Cue With a Sleek Look
Style Name: Carbon Cue
This is a great pool cue. It has a sharp black look to it, and the size is 58" as advertised when assembled. The cue is lightweight but still feels sturdy enough to knock billiard balls clean into the pockets. Even though I’m new to playing pool and don’t have many cues to compare it to, this one has a really solid feel and nice balance to it. It connects well with the ball and gives a smooth, controlled shot, which is great for someone learning and improving their game. Assembly is simple — it screws together tightly with no wobble, and the finish looks really nice and clean. I’m looking forward to putting a lot of games on this cue and practicing more with it. Overall, I would highly recommend this pool cue for its style, quality, and ease of use, especially for newer players like myself. ... show more

  • Smooth, Consistent Hit With Great Balance
Style Name: Carbon Cue
This cue delivers a very clean and consistent strike. The 18oz weight feels balanced from grip to tip, and the carbon construction gives it a solid, straight feel with no warping. The 12.5mm tip held chalk well and gave me good cue-ball control and accuracy during draw and follow shots. You will need a carry bag for this cue. The glossy exposed-carbon finish looks professional and wipes clean easily. Overall, it performs like a higher-priced cue. ... show more

  • Tip Top Shot
Style Name: Carbon Cue
This 58" carbon pool cue hails from Cue-King. Built from military-grade carbon fibre with stainless steel fittings, it’s a two-piece cue weighing 18oz and finished in gloss exposed carbon. The 12.5mm professional tip and stainless steel ferrule are designed for precision and control, while the joint ensures a sturdy connection between the pieces. This cue is solid. The balance feels right, the tip delivers nice accuracy and the construction inspires confidence. It also looks sharp. It’s not a budget stick, but the performance matches the price. I look forward to breaking some balls with this stick. All in all, I’m satisfied with this pool cue. Should my experience with this carbon companion miscue or impress further, the review will be updated. ... show more

  • Smooth transition from wood to carbon fiber
Style Name: Carbon Cue
I’ve always used traditional wooden cues, so I was interested to see how this carbon fiber model would compare. Honestly, the feel is excellent. The gloss finish on the carbon fiber is incredibly smooth and slides through my bridge hand with zero friction, which is a nice change of pace from wood. It was very easy to assemble, and the joint feels secure and tight. In terms of play, the cue is lightweight but perfectly balanced; you get a really solid connection with the ball without unwanted vibration. ... show more

  • What a nice surprise
Style Name: Carbon Cue
I got this cue with the idea that it would work well as a break cue. I received it and was pleasantly surprised but it. The tip is very soft and part of why I am considering using it as my regular shooting cue instead of just a break cue. It is made out of good materials and the shaft is light weight because it is made out of carbon fiber. The grip is a bit on the heavy side but is nicely balanced. Definitely a cue I would recommend. ... show more

  • Very cool!
Style Name: Carbon Cue
This pool cue makes me feel like a professional, very high quality! It looks like a million bucks, the only real issue I have about it is that it's just a smidgen too short for me (I'm 6' 3"). But hitting the pool cues has never felt better. Very good weight to body ratio on this.
