This shockcord is exactly as advertised. It has medium-firm elasticity and a very bright and shiny tightly-woven shell. My only regret/concern is that once again, we have a made-in-China product that I wish had been made in a freer country. I literally could not find an alternative made anywhere else.

This bungee cord is perfect for my usage. I needed this to string across my kayak to hold down a jacket and not be concerned if the wind picks up. It's a waterproof jacket so I wasn't worried about it getting wet. This cord is easy to use and good quality.

I like to keep bungee around. The above-ground pool needs to be covered in the winter and for that purpose, I use a lot of bungee to suspend a permeable pool cover that lets the water seep through keeping the debris out. It also comes in handy for stringing up tarps for shade and/or cover from the rain. This cord is strong, stretchy and gives me plenty of length. Bungee keeps the cover taut. I'll be buttoning up the pool pretty soon, so this will come in handy.

The cord on my Wilderness Systems Tsunami is 1/4" shock cord but I swapped it out with the slightly lighter 3/16". 32' was plenty of length for a 14' kayak. So far it has held up to the abuse, saltwater, and UV light without issue. I like the slimmer cord as it has a little more give to it for lashing.

Bungee strings like this are useful in so many places. This cord feels like some quality stuff. It uses a large number of individual rubber strands, as compared to cheaper cord which is just one thick rubber strand wrapped in fabric. I’m not actually sure which method is stronger, but having multiple strands like this means that it’s not going to fail in the same way that most bungee strings do, where the rubber hardens and cracks apart. I got this cord to repair some backpacks whose bungee strings had lost all their elasticity. I’m sure this stuff would have worked perfectly... if I had double-checked the diameter beforehand. But the product description does say 3/16” and that’s exactly what I got, so I have no one but myself to blame. Still, I am certain I will find a use for this cord somewhere.
