We have had the ice maker set up and using it for about five days now. It works great. It is a little on the noisy side. If we did not have an open-concept Kitchen and living room or if we had a butler pantry we could put this in, then it would be perfect. We did have to turn it off one night because we were watching a movie and the machine was pretty noisy. Other than the noise, so far, we have been very happy with it. I will post an updated review if that changes. Things I recommend for the next model is working on the noise level. Ease of use and functionality is great. The ice was great from the very first glass, texture and tase are good.

I bought this, hoping that it would be the replacement for my current countertop unit that you have to scoop out the ice. I can’t control who’s in my environment and I guess you can say that I’m a German for. I just can’t stand the thought of someone reaching in to pick up an ice cube because they just wanted one. This would’ve solve the problem. However, unlike my countertop unit, the ice that melts doesn’t generate new ice so you have a constant supply. The first couple of days we got it we’re great! We were using it and loving it. Then we went away for the weekend. When we came back, no ice with dispenser and you could hear the auger turning but you couldn’t hear any ice in the bed. I tried to find access to the bin and could not and verified through , the seller that you cannot access the ice bin. That was very frustrating so I felt like it made it difficult to troubleshoot. We had a Fourth of July barbecue at our house. I was so excited to show everyone my new icemaker! But I was embarrassed instead. It produced so little ice that the first person who got ice really got all the ice. It does make ice within eight minutes, but who has time to sit there and wait for it to make ice so your guests can have a drink? We ended up having to go buy a bag of ice instead. After this fiasco, I decided to do some investigating. Before bed I emptied the machine of all the water, and then I refilled it and then I programmed it to make ice. In the morning, I couldn’t believe it. I had to measure it twice. It only gave me 4 cups of ice. So this time instead of empty all the water out, I just re-added water and ran the ice until it ran out of ice. This time I seem to get a little bit less but it was still roughly 4 cups of ice. I was shocked! It’s a very big machine and takes up a lot of countertop real estate, so I thought the holding capacity would be much larger. I wrote the manufacture and ask the questions about how many cups of ice does it make at a time and how much does that bin really hold. Instead the return that I got back was about the troubleshooting steps that I had already done. I did not find their customer service in that regard to be very helpful at all and so I decided to return this unit. It’s a very nice unit though!

I bought this for my wife. She likes having ice on-demand. It worked great for a while and the ice is the best. Small chewable ice. Unfortunately the machine started making this loud screeching noise and we had to keep shutting it off. I emailed the help line. I answered a couple questions and next thing I knew I had a replacement Ice Machine at my door. It is up and running and we are loving it and the ice! We would definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I want to love it, but it has given me trouble. The first one died. It had an awful toxic smell of burning, so the company replaced it. Now this one is making awful noises like a belt squealing. It’s actually awful sounding yet quite funny at the same time. But, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. It still makes perfect nugget ice and looks nice. I don’t know why it’s making this noise. Update: I contacted the company and they said it’s out of warranty after a year of the original purchase. But, they obviously sent me a bad one to replace the first one. I can’t say that I’d recommend this ice maker.

Our machine began making horrible noises within the first two weeks of purchase. Rather than reach out to Amazon to return it I reached out to customer service. They provided me a brand new unit no questions asked. The new unit has been working flawlessly. I will say it is imperative to maintain a cleaning schedule with the device otherwise it will begin to make noise. We are a house that loves Sonic ice and this is the best equivalent we have found. I purchased previous brands but it did not have a dispenser and with children in the home I did not want hands in my ice so the dispenser just made sense. It does not take up very much room on our counter however it does not fit under the cabinets so make sure you measure your cabinet space if you're planning on putting it between a top and bottom cabinet.

I purchased this in July 2024. It came well packaged with clear instructions. I ran through several gallons of water to clean the machine. During this time, I noted that the reservoir for produced ice seemed a bit small. I wanted to fill several Stanley 40oz tumblers each morning. What I found was that it would produce enough to fill one tumbler about 2/3rds of the way full before the ice capacity was reached. Trying to run this overnight did not have the desired results for quantity. If you empty the ice into another container, you might achieve the hourly/daily production quoted. Also, when running at night, the machine did produce some very odd, eerie and loud noises. So loud that it would wake me up in the middle of the night. Another reviewer commented on the "poltergeist noises" and that is a pretty accurate description. The ice it did produce was exactly what you'd expect. It would keep the ice it produced cold and frozen all day. It appears to be well made and a quality product from that standpoint. Sadly, I decided to return it. I was a little concerned that it would be accepted for a refund but the customer service I received was outstanding. Once shipped, I received an email that my refund was on the way. I would rate the machine as described with 3 stars and added 1 star for customer service for an overall rating of 4 stars.
