Glad some reviews pointed out that these are NOT vented. Sealed enclosures are much easier to deal with from a response perspective. Yes. The speaker openings are a tad small. (Better than too big !) This a literally a 10 second fix with a router. Surprised that no one complained about the pressed-in terminal cups. Remedied that with a couple of pan head screws. Only using these for low-mid-woofer (100-50). So, they worked out perfect for my behind the seat application. ... show more

    • 6.5 inch stated is not acutal size of opening
These boxes should work with most 6.5 inch diameter speakers. I wonder if people were trying to "flush" mount their speakers to box, these boxes these only allow for speaker to "sit" on top of opening. So, need to find ALL dimensions of your speaker you will be using. The actual size is just under 5 1/2 in. opening. Maybe I am not understanding peoples low reviews. I recently installed the Audiotek CA-65CB 6.5-inch vented speaker box enclosure, and I'm quite impressed with its performance.     • Speakers will not seat into the box, opening not wide enough (at least for these speakers).
Like other reviews, these boxes DID NOT fit my speakers. The hole is not large enough for the speaker to seat into the enclosure, the frame of the speakers keeps it from seating, I am not interested in routing them out or spending time on the boxes to have them seat properly. Putting in what I think to be high quality B&C 6.5" 300w speakers. These boxes are not ported (which is fine by me but incorrect in description). Like another reviewer pointed out the wire in connections are not glued down, they are just pressed in. This is kind of a good thing if you want to connect the wires first then glue/screw the connector discs in (as them coming out allows easier access to the terminals). Not sure the cubic airspace, but they are small boxes, perhaps too small to get any low end. ... show more

I have set of 6.5" round speakers that I wanted to install on my boat. I received these speaker boxes and they look great. Unfortunately the speakers can not be installed in the holes because they are approximately 1/4 inch too small. I plan to remove some of the carpet covering and reroute the holes. It's not what I paid for but I don't wish to return and wait for the correct size. ... show more
