  • OMG....OMG...OMFG...I TAPPED OUT!
Style: Vented -Extra Large
This is a large box, so far i only listened to about 2 songs on it, and it definitly slams hard. I will need to re adjust my amp gains because its actually violently, ball shakingly, ear poppin, TROLLINGLY loud. I literally cut it off when approaching my street, it is just bangin on an offensive level, which is good! Granted im running a higher level spl budget build i suppose.... but heres what im running. 2 american bass elite 12's wired to 1 ohm load on a soundigital 2k evo ll pushing 2600 rms at 14.4 volts, powered by a 2nd agm78 battery, keeping voltage between 13.6-14.3 while listening at moderate volume, running 0 gauge OFC welding cables and 3 seperate 300 amp fuses, and an ampro 5 volt preamp from the headunit to the sub amp for a clean signal. This box is all my subs needed and is the 3rd and my final box at this point. The box is huge with 4.5 cubic feet of airspace, which is what my subs needed. Prior to this box i had a custom 2.5 cubic inch aeroport box tuned 30 hz made specifically for my charger...and it bumped, it even trolled a bit in traffic... but my lows were all port noise because my subs were not breathing as they should.....the box was too small for my specific subs. Now a typical 400 rms sub would of been ok with the box, but each of my subs are 1200rms rated......and by putting them in this qbomb, i litterally had to cut the shxt down....and i am a basshead, been in the game for over 10 years and understand the science behind sound systems and impedences. With that being said, it takes alot for me to tap out,and this box did it....all i could do while bumping 2 chains "countin", was grin ear to ear screaming OMG with pure adreniline running for fear of hearing damage. I had to back off before the song ended, and this was volume level 30 out of 39. ...my go to level with the prior box i had. I am going to have to turn my amp gains down.....i highly recommend this bix, the ONLY setbacks so far for me is it will not hit those LOW LOWS...30 hz and under very (violently) loud, but will hit them decently....and the inside terminals are pretty sketch, i actually bent one on accident, but just used the 2nd tetminals on the other side instead i took away 1 sturdyness star for that....but Other than that, this box is just nastey. ... show more

  • Huge box. Sturdy as hell. Worth a hundred bucks
Style: Vented -Extra Large
I will update this review as i do the different steps. In short this box is sturdy and fits my Fits Civic coupe 08 ex with some elbow grease... Get somebody to help you though or youll pull your back. 7/18/17 Initial thoughts: Jesus Christ it's a big boy. Packaging could be better but mine came wthout any serious damage so I'd say shipping a box in a box is pretty a ok but wish they added some plastic wrap or something. Both terminals were screwed in tight at the four corners respectively. Although the inside part that you only see without a sub in isn't sprayed black the port is, so when u look at the final product it will be a beauty. Helpful hints for those with a small opening to there trunk. My Civic has two things that need to be unclipped in order to slide this bad boy in from the trunk. 1 the clips holding the back seat release cables can be pulled horizontally and you slide them out the opposite way and then down. 2 there is a black grill under where the OEM sub is installed. To remove pull down and jiggle the four clips starting with the ones nearest to the trunk and then nearest to the bsckseat. After that you can slide the box in with the subs faced to the left and rotate in counter clockwise so you have something like this ( \ ) then u have to keep trying to move the box until you end up with something like this ( --- ) this will leave the terminals on the sides and the subs / port facing the trunk. *You are Gona want to add sound dedoning to the trunk, spare tire compartment, and rear deck. Next step after test fitting is to seal the inside of all the corners. After waiting for it to dry a day or two you can slide in the subs after wiring them. ... show more

  • Good box for the price
Style: Vented -Extra Large
Great box for the price and for a start up box. It isn’t by far no custom enclosure but it gets the job done. A lot better than other boxes I had. And it looks really good. Bass quality is ok. Easy to set up. I think it has a nice big port and is bigger than the cheaper Q bomb box. Great value for the money ... show more

  • Amazing box.just a few things to remember if youre new to this.
Style: Vented -Extra Large
So after doing some research I decided to go from a sealed to ported box.seeing as how I'm still learning this seemed my best bet in terms of prefab ported boxes.it is only 5/8ths mdf(would have liked 3/4)but the bedliner coating helps strengthen it and also seal it.I have 2 power acoustik gothic 4ohm dvc subs in it,each hooked to a boss r2400d(soon to be returned, neither does what it says after dyno testing and one is remarkably weaker then the other...stay away from BOSS and others like pa that lie about watts and ratings, without a dyno good rule of thumb is take amperage on fuses x10.theres your rms...if youre lucky on low end amps). Since its tuned to 40hz I set the subsonic filter at 30 hz(half an octave lower)...this thing slams for what it is.I'm replacing the power avoutics this week with jl w3v3 2ohm svc ,one with a kicker 600.1 rms amp, other with alpine pdx 600 amp.(pdx is 1ohm stable so may run both off of it,not sure)due to the muddy sound of the power acoustics, and the crap amps.. . Point is.right now with subpar equipment this thing still sounds great, and it gets loud on demand, you can set it to have nice cleanish bass,or loud screaming ,cant see out the mirrors cause theyre shaking like a jackhammer is hitting them bass. If youre on the fence about it dont be,just get it,but make sure that you set your subsonic for 30ish so you dont cause your subs to roll and kill em. Out of the box I took the terminals out, hooked up 8gauge for the speaker wires, with gold spade connectors with a bead of solder as well to make it harder for the vibration to loosen it.then I took liquid nails and sealed the whole box again, and also sealed the terminals cases to the box as well.let it sit for 24hrs and it was good to go. ... show more
