First off, I love the box. Please read thru this review to understand why I modified it and why I think it's better that way. The materials used to build this box seem to be of great quality. It's very solid and sturdy. And with the thick spray coating covering the entire outside this gives it longevity as it will protect it from humidity and wet weather, which in my experience has destroyed enclosures over time. All that being said, I really like this box. What I don't like is the giant port holes. As you see in my photos I sealed off each port hole and the bass quality increased dramatically. It changed the entire sound, and made my subwoofers produce much deeper bass notes that it just couldn't achieve in an unsealed box NowIf they were built as they should be, like a high end quality box, then they would be awesome! But they're not. They're just big holes in the box, they literally serve zero purpose. It's almost like an unfinished box. Yes it may still sound decent. Yes it may slam in most car trunks, that is because CAr trunks act as sealed boxes. But still, it isn't built correctly. And it negatively impacts the bass. Subwoofers cannot achieve those really deep low bass lines in a box that is unsealed. They need back pressure, which also makes them slam harder as well. In a high end enclosure with vent ports, they are built much more intricately. Before the opening, along the cave of the port hole, there would be kind of like a maze of woodwalls. Very tightly close to each other. This makes it so the back pressure created by the bumping subwoofer has a hard time getting thru the port, which in turn creates more back pressure to make the woofer slam harder while still letting are thru and giving it that ported sound. You can see diagrams and such to better understand what I mean, with a quick Google search. But anyway, again I love this box. Ive always gone after bigger sealed boxes because of the power, and the low bass noted you can achieve. And after I sealed the ports on this box, it is perfect for me. I'm really enjoying this box. Super glad that I got it!

When I receive this enclosure today, it was in cardboard box same size as this enclosure, after close inspection, (I worked in car stereo shop for years) I can tell this box been glued and put together only with Brad staples. It didn’t sealed properly and it was loose when I pushed against it. The front pieces is 3/4 thick BUT rest of box is 5/8”. The description states it’s constructed with 3/4 material. That’s a lie and misinformation. I DON’T Recommend buying this for spl subwoofers. It will blow it apart! It’s junk!

I will update this review as i do the different steps. In short this box is sturdy and fits my Fits Civic coupe 08 ex with some elbow grease... Get somebody to help you though or youll pull your back. 7/18/17 Initial thoughts: Jesus Christ it's a big boy. Packaging could be better but mine came wthout any serious damage so I'd say shipping a box in a box is pretty a ok but wish they added some plastic wrap or something. Both terminals were screwed in tight at the four corners respectively. Although the inside part that you only see without a sub in isn't sprayed black the port is, so when u look at the final product it will be a beauty. Helpful hints for those with a small opening to there trunk. My Civic has two things that need to be unclipped in order to slide this bad boy in from the trunk. 1 the clips holding the back seat release cables can be pulled horizontally and you slide them out the opposite way and then down. 2 there is a black grill under where the OEM sub is installed. To remove pull down and jiggle the four clips starting with the ones nearest to the trunk and then nearest to the bsckseat. After that you can slide the box in with the subs faced to the left and rotate in counter clockwise so you have something like this ( \ ) then u have to keep trying to move the box until you end up with something like this ( --- ) this will leave the terminals on the sides and the subs / port facing the trunk. *You are Gona want to add sound dedoning to the trunk, spare tire compartment, and rear deck. Next step after test fitting is to seal the inside of all the corners. After waiting for it to dry a day or two you can slide in the subs after wiring them.

Very well built! And it made my AudioBahns bang the way they're supposed to! This box beats ridiculous... Well worth the $$.. only thing I wish was better was the packaging. It literally came in a cardboard box the exact size of the enclosure itself. But it came undamaged so I still give it 5 stars. EDIT: Changed my review to 4 stars.. it is a strong built enclosure. But the one draw back is it is tuned way too high. I believe it is 42-45hz.. it should be at the very most 38hz. So you do sacrifice a lot of bass in the lows.. but it does have good punch and mid to high bass. Still an all around good enclosure. And I need to add that the people on here that give this and other enclosures bad reviews because the "holes aren't 12 inches", you do NOT know what you're talking about. ALL subwoofers are different sizes. This is a prefabricated box! They make the holes small enough to fit subs on the lower end of those measurements for a reason! You can widen holes, you cannot ADD MORE wood! Please do your research before giving products bad reviews because it turns potential buyers away from good products! Anyways this is a very nice prefab box.. still well worth it, just wish it was tuned lower..
