Got here quickly, kudos to Amazon and fed ex for the super fast delivery I ordered it last Friday evening and received it today, only 2 business days!! Amazon even sent my phone a text message once they confirmed that it had been delivered. These speakers are not the easiest thing to install so if you do not have any experience installing stereo equipment I would push you towards a standard set of 3 or 4 way speakers.. if you know what your doing these speakers are pretty straight forward if you have any knowledge of stereo systems or even common sense. the difficult part is getting it to look good and hide the crossovers (assuming you want to hide them)... now to the product itself. When I opened the box it smelled of Chinese plastic.. these are made in china like everything else. but their build quality is fair/good speakers feel pretty rigid and I see no problems with them holding up for years under normal use.. but on those hot summer days I would be careful not to crank it up too much the plastic seems to be the type that could warp under high heat and movement... unfortunately there is no room in my garage so my install was stuck to the outdoors and being April in Oregon my install was cut to a halt after the first speaker due to me getting soaked in the rain (I have a small car.. not much room to install door speakers with the doors closed) Anyway the side I did looks clean and professionally done and has the sound of a more expensive set these speakers perform at the same level of a 70-80$ pair of speakers from brands like sony, pioneer or kenwood.. keep in mind they are no infinity or kicker but do sound very good and are just about the best bang for the buck you can get!!! Ohh and to the people complaining about the wire that comes with the speakers... the wire that comes with it is thicker than 90% of cars stock audio wiring.. so unless you plan on replacing ALL the audio wire putting larger gauge wire to the speakers is a complete and total waste not to mention these are only ~50 watt RMS speakers you don't need 8 gauge subwoofer wiring to make them work the smaller wire works just fine and they give you more than enough to suffice. I'm very impressed with the improvement of the overall sound quality of my system with only one speaker.. the tweeters are loud and have a good range and can get very loud if you set them up for it and the woofers make a good deal of bass it wont replace a sub but for someone who listens to less bassy music it will do well.... I'm excited to install the other speaker and am anxiously awaiting my pyle audio 4 way speakers for the rear!!!! kudos pyle you guys have come a long way in the past years. So far I'd recommend them to anyone. *UPDATE* Got them both installed and took out my old rotted out rear speakers and these things sound awesome... excellent bass.. far more than expected. At half volume they can vibrate my rear view mirrors to the point they distort and the tweeters hit every high you throw at them... this set is a very good buy!!! ... show more

I am pleased to say that I am really happy with this woofer set. I found that this was a great price for a set of woofers, tweeters and crossovers, and even though I was a little skeptical of their quality at first, they are sounding amazing. The only thing that bothers me is that the tweeters sound very crackly and do not fair well at high volumes. They also sound a bit staticy and I cannot seem to isolate another source for the problem other than the tweeters themselves. I recommend that you order a separate set of 4-Ohm tweeters along with this set. A price of $35 is still a bargain for the two woofers and crossovers however. Some other things: -The mounting holes on one of my woofers were offset by ~7 degrees or so, making the woofer look twisted in its mounting frame. I fixed this however by drilling new holes so that it looked right. -Came with a nice set of wires with sockets for connecting the speakers to the crossover. The wire is copper but only around 22 gauge. It would probably heat up if you were using high amperage to push 400 watts, but you shouldn't run speakers to their ratings anyway, as you risk blowing them out. -Also came with all the mounting screws and stuff for mounting the crossovers and the woofers. I'm still trying to figure out how to correctly mount the tweeters however. There were some strange copper pieces that I suspect were for this purpose, but I just cut holes that snugly fit the tweeters and press-fit them in. -The tweeters swivel around in a sort of ball socket, so you can direct the sound in any way you like. I found this annoying and just glued them in one place, but i'm sure if you overlook the quality of the tweeters sound, this could be useful. So basically to sum it all up, the price is great, and the quality of the woofers and crossovers is very good, but order a separate set of tweeters because they sound bad. ... show more

I discovered these Pyle speakers after the left side of my 2012 Ford Fiesta hatch's expensive 6.5 in."Focal" mid bass speakers suddenly stopped working with only 13000 miles on the car! Strangely, the "Focal" tweeters in the front doors still functioned, so I left them alone and didn't install the supplied "Pyle" tweeters. Because I'm old, and hardly EVER 'bump" the bass, I took my ride back to where I had bought them and the stereo and had them installed at "Car Toys". After complaining I was told that the warranty had expired. "What? But sir, I also paid for the extended warranty!" "WHAT? ONLY FOR ONE EXTRA YEAR, AND IT EXPIRED THREE MONTHS AGO!? DAMN." Well, I was pretty hot over those $$$ 6.5 in. "Focal" speakers! OK, so the expensive speakers didn't last any longer than the cheap ones. NO MORE FOCAL speakers! I searched for a set of speakers that had more RMS watt capacity for my JLA 700 watt 5 channel amp. I settled on these "Pyle's and bought TWO sets of the "Plye" PLG6C speakers. Only one side had stopped working, but I wanted my ride to have a matched set all around, so I removed the surviving "Focal" set on the pass side, and installed a new "Pyle" speaker on the speaker rings in each door that I had left in place from the previous Focal installation. My amp has built in crossovers, so I didn't install the supplied "Pyle" crossovers. After I installed my four new "Pyle PLG6C"s", I turned the stereo on, and I tested them. LOUDLY. After thoroughly satisfying myself with their operation, I ordered my third set of the PLG6C speakers this Easter weekend! 5 STARS from me people!! ... show more

Second update. They sounded good at first but now sound horrible. One of the tweeters blew under a 30w rms amp and one crossover is only filtering low end so my mid bass is not coming through. Totally garbage. Spend 5 more bucks and buy the pioneers. Updated. I would bump up the rating for the sound quality but almost want to take a star off for company support. I contacted them and have heard nothing back. I ended up fabricating the parts I needed to mount the tweeters and got everything installed. I'm running a bi-amp system with the components and a sub woofer. For the price of these speakers the sound quality is incredible. Im going to add some bass blockers between my amp and the cross over because they still let a bit too much low end through but thats not a big deal. You cant beat the sound quality for this price unless you build them yourself. Customer support: So far disappointed and they are not even installed. First I didnt recieve the surface mounting clip. Next the tweeters came assembled in the flush mount configuration and following the directions to change the mounting setup only made me feel like I was going to break the tweeters. They never came apart to switch configurations. Then the support site just kept looping me back to the same page once I had entered all the information they wanted. The wires for the crossover just slide into it and screw down. I had expected a y connection terminal or a ring connection terminal which I added myself. This rating may go up if the support people get back to me or if I get the tweeters mounted the way I want. Rating may get better if they sound half way decent. Fit perfectly in place of the factory speakers of the 2002 Chevy 1500 I installed them in. Definitely compatible to factory speakers but not as good as the blown pioneer speakers I replaced. Sound quality is ok until you try to crank them up and then they get crackly and mimic a blown speaker which was surprising considering they are a 300 watt speaker. The clarity of the tweeters are clear and the vocals sound good but the woofers are a little overrated for their performance. Setup was easy enough with some modifications to mount the tweeters. They make a great speaker if you’re looking for just to make some noise and replace a factory speaker but they won’t win you no sound competition. ... show more

I bought these to go into my 1996 Tacoma Extended Cab. Unfortunately they didn't fit into the door spaces (without spacers which I hadn't bought and was lazy), since the 6.5" woofer has a very nice large and deep magnet. So I decided to install them into the side rear panels in the extended cab. They installed in no time, as all necessary pieces are included, including the wires with precrimped ends for both the tweeter and woofer. I have these running of a JVC MoSFet deck pushing 30X4RMS and they sound great, had to turn the LOUD feature off as the base was rattling the panels, as Toyotas are made of plastic. I just found out I could have bought some 1" spacers to make the woofers fit in the door...oh well...bought some seperate 3-way speakers for the fronts...probably won't sound as good...we'll just have to see...I am installing the 3-ways tomorrow... The Pyle woofers look great, with the yellow surround... You also get 2 different tweeter install options...surface mount (either with double sided tape or screws) or flush mount... The woofers also come with grill covers and the crossover looks to be built very nice...nothing in here feels or sounds cheap. ... show more
