These arrived as pictured. The part that hangs on the tank isn't adjustable but has two "sections" - one to fit a more narrow lip and one for a wider one. If you're tank uses the more narrow part, the lip will hang a little father over the outside. The side facing innermost has a flat slide-up wall allowing exposure to one complete side so you don't have to worry about tangled roots getting stuck in it. With this design, I wish they'd slightly tapered the tunnels to allow the plants to sit in place better. Unless you have something that's already kind of a tight fit and held in place by friction or wedge, it'll require mature leaves to hold a young plant in place and keep it from slipping through. That's a bit of a disappointment but I'm going to 3D print a small hook-like insert to sit at the top of the holes to make it easier for young plants to "hold onto". I don't really feel that as the buyer, someone should need to take such steps to make something work pretty much as intended but the product does come as shown and describe - it just isn't a perfect solution. ... show more

My boyfriend is all into fish and had four tanks. This is perfect for him to put his certain plants in. Instead of the plants just floating on tip which is what he had now. It grips onto the tanks really nicely.
