I own multiple psp systems 2 psp 1000 1 psp 2000 one psp 3000 and a psp go. The ones that have removable and replaceable batteries all have old dead batteries that no longer hold a charge worth it to be considered portable and take out with me. And today there are tons of fake psp batteries being sold as NOS or factory new oem stock, let me tell you that batteries that old left in packages are no good and wouldn't work on the first place. All batteries ans chargers being sold like this are fake and can't be trusted. Today we can only trust 3rd party batteries like this one. This battery actually works it holds a good long charge that allows me too take my psp out on the go and not be worried that I'm lugging around a dead brick in my pocket, backpack or sling. The battery charges quickly and shows a true battery percentage on the psp. This battery kit comes with two batteries so you can always have an extra on the go and swap it before having to charge it again so you get twice the battery life on the go and the battery is small and light enough to carry extras without having to carry your heavy charger or if you're like me I own a battery only charger that I have to remove my battery from my system to charge unfortunately this was the only alternative and buying a fake charger labeled as oem that is just a fire hazard waiting to happen having to batteries is just easy and the price for two is so good it just makes sense you can't go wrong buying one or two sets if you own multiple psp systems like me or if you just like having extra batteries around to swap out. These batteries have all the battery protection you could want in a battery that's going in your precious and expensive toys, these batteries come with overcharge protection, over and under currant protection low voltage protection as well as temperature protection to keep the battery from getting hot while use or charging. Those fake oem batteries are dangerous and I have opened a few of those batteries up and they have no protections and could honestly destroy your system they don't have good solder connections and they are using old battery technology that don't have good capacity and die fast. It's not worth risking a fire to buy fake oem batteries. These batteries use newer lithium ion technology and use bag cells which have dense cell capacity and offer you peace of mind. If you don't buy this brand of batteries that's fine but please for your safety avoid anything labeled as NOS i.e. New Old Stock or FACTORY NEW STOCK there's no such thing and the batteries they are selling aren't worth your time. Please know what you are putting in your expensive devices and make the safe and correct choice. Take care and be safe.

My oldest PSP has never been able to have a fully charged green light. For 15 years it would always stay orange. These batteries somehow managed to be full. It was a 30 second install and very easy to swap. It functions identical to the OEM and lasts about as long as them too. It takes a few hours to charge to full but twice as many hours to use all of the battery up. I would say overall these are as close as you can find aftermarket to OEM. They are meant for 2000/3000. Worked in both my my 2k/3k units just fine.

I was disappointed with these. In my testing these only lasted 2 hours 55 minutes. No joke, they both powered my PSP for basically the exact same time. However, this is in no way competitive with the actual official PSP batteries. My testing was just to have the screen on a blank screen with the brightness all the way down, so playing games will see less discharge time. Also, just because I have the data, both took approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to charge from empty to full. I am overjoyed to have batteries for my PSP again and it feels like discovering it all over again. These batteries are far from great, but they'll keep you playing of the plug for a decent amount of time.

These aren't going ot outperform the original or come close to their performance, but they can work well if you set your expectations accordingly. These batteries are fairly lightweight compared to the original, which is usually a bad sign as they contain less battery inside the plastic. That said, these aren't as bad as some others I've tried and at least they aren't attempting to advertise as 3600mAh batteries (which are impossible to make in this size... for now). Duration was about 3/5 of an original one, their 1200 battery is priced more accordingly, but I think these aren't worth the price. I've reviewed both of these models bow as well as from a few different brands now, so some of my comparisons are shared across listing reviews. I can't really recommend these easily when we have such better alternatives at around the same price. If there is nothing else available or these become extremely cheap, then maybe that could be an excuse to buy them, otherwise I recommend checking out the Pickle Power ones or similar

Ok, hopefully this will be a long term review, but as we know with PSP batteries in the last couple of decades... they usually do not hold up to use. These 2 battery's arrived in well packaged boxes inside another box then inside a Amazon box with other items. So Triple the packaging but was probably intended to be just double packaging. They were clean no smells and looked like proper PSP-1001 series batteries except for the fact there is no PSP logo or anything on 1 side on the back side as you see in the picture of the product has all the information. Due to exact size and fit, I was able to pop it in my PSP for the first battery into my PSP without charging it, said it arrived with 11% charge. I let it charge up before using it for first time. got about 3 and a half hours to 4 hours of use before draining the battery dead. So far it was easy to install & works as intended which would make it a great value for the money. I put it on charge over night and hope to have several hours of fun. I will do my best to come back to this review over time and give updates and let you all know of the longevity if any or problems that may arise from use over time. Says 1800mah which was higher than the 1200mah I used to use so hopefully will squeeze more play time out of battery. Review was made July 18th, edited July 28th. 10 Days of use battery had gradually dropped in wear & charge on average I get about 2 hours of use but battery levels have dropped quite a bit. Update 8/31/2025 Battery does not seem to hold a charge over a day in off mode. I charge up day before while PSP is off, and next day I take it where I am going and battery is completely dead not able to use. This makes no sense to me as it will charge up and you can play for couple of hours with out problem but if it sits idle the battery just drains. I tried in many different PSP's Same issue.

I've loved my old Playstation Portable, but the battery that came with it has long since stopped working. It works if I plug it in, and the buttons and screen work great, but the battery is done. These two batteries actually seem much better than my original was when it was brand new. My PSP is lasting around 6 hours without charging, and with a spare battery that is very easy to swap, I can easily use this all day. They take a while to charge, about 1.5 hours, likely due to the low amperage of the PSP running with the battery charging. The construction quality of the battery housing is perfect, and though the label is not SONY, it is the same quality. The connectors are some kind of gold alloy and I don't think they will tarnish or have problems for years (long after the batteries are no good. The battery fits right into place, and doesn't fall out. The PSP would work with no exterior battery cover, because the fit is so good. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the same factory as the old Sony battery factory, with newer Li-on technology inside. For functionality and quality, these are a great value for the price. You really do not need more than two of these things, even if you use your old PSP all day every day.
