The 2 mm was thinner Than I expected, because the photos are the same for each width so you don't really know what you're getting unless you've bought the product before. Now I know and will get the thicker one next time. For reference, the 2mm product is like the thin foam sheets you'd get next to the felt sheets at Walmart, or in the rainbow pack. I used this material to make some aperture baffles for a telescope. Works well. Cuts easily. Not affected by moisture. Initially the material tended to "remember" being rolled up tightly in the packaging. But after applying some heat with a hair dryer it relaxed and flattened out perfectly.
