The cross boards had a single leg, as I'm 250 and my wife 160, the leg screws stripped out. I put two on each cross bar. No more squeeking bed.

    • not bad, could be better but simple solution

Overall, simple solution for the issue of cheap manufacturers not giving enough support slats or if you want that extra security. It was easy enough to put on. The slat really can't be much wider than 3 inches though. My biggest gripe is that the bracket slots are broad so the kit should really need some washers to make sure the head of the bolt does not angle or wear into one side and pop through the slot. I will go back later and add some wide diameter metal washers. The foot pad was stiffer than expected so I had some spare cuts of 1 inch wood that I used as a base....which is fine I guess. It's added protection from leaving a circular pressure mark on the wood floor. Let's see how it holds up. I will update if anything happens. ... show more
