I work on a lot of Japanese automobile brands and as anyone who does can attest, you can literally dismantle half of their vehicles with just a 10mm socket. So naturally, as per Murphy's Law, that's the socket that's always disappearing. Personally I am of the belief that they all end up in the same black hole as all of my single socks, but I digress. Just to take my conspiracy theory a step further, my neighbor also works on a lot of imports (although he favors German brands) so we often swap and share tools, but the other day I was missing my short 10mm socket, again, so I called over to borrow one. All he could do is laugh because he was in the same boat, so obviously this is all part of a global conspiracy. All joking aside, it was nice to find a quality replacement for my most oft AWOL socket. The fact that they come as a pair just makes it all that much better. The fit and finish on these is very high quality and equal to any of my other import socket sets. They attach and detach readily without being sloppy or too loose, and the 12-point design fits fasteners snuggly without being a challenge to get seated. This is especially important vs. a 6-point since a loose fit exacerbates the possibility of a stripped bolt head (so make sure you keep your applied force inline with the fastener and fully seat your socket). The polished chrome finish cleans up easily and without issue, so they're simple to keep looking good as well. Although I do not own a hardness tester, the Chrome Vanadium steel looks and performs identically to my other quality steal sockets, so I've no reservations that these will hold up over time as well. Some of my other sockets of this type are probably more than 50 years old at this point, although I generally lose the 10mm ones so regularly that I never have to worry about wearing one of these out. That said, the offering price for this pair is a veritable bargain that's very tough to beat.

If you’ve ever wished a socket set could be both practical and a little sassy, then buckle up — because these two 10 mm sockets deliver. First off, the mirror finish makes them look like they’re auditioning to be the James Bond of toolboxes — sleek, shiny, and unexpected. I half-expected them to sprout tiny tuxedos. But joke aside, they’re solidly built from Cr-V steel and feel like they could handle real work without crying for mercy. I normally lean toward 6-point sockets (old habits die hard), but these 12-pointers surprised me with how snug and precise they fit — no annoying wiggle on my ratchet or extension. Everything clicks together like peanut butter and jelly: smooth, dependable, and with zero drama. And let’s talk price: at roughly $7 for two, you’re basically getting each socket for what many other brands charge per socket, sometimes even more! That’s a bargain worthy of a double take — and I’m giving them a triple look anyway because they’re just that handsome. Sure, they don’t come with a velvet bag or a red carpet, but they do what a socket should — grip bolts, resist wear, and survive toolbox chaos (unlike my socks, which vanish into a vortex). Do I wish they were 6-point? Slightly — but these 12-pointers still work great and haven’t missed a beat. In short: well-made, affordable, and a joy to use — I’d buy them again (and might, because, let’s face it: you can never have too many 10 mm sockets).

The 10mm socket. Probably the most used socket in my socket set and, therefore, the one most lost amongst my sockets. I can't tell the number of times I've managed to lose this very socket. And it gets a little maddening because I have all my other socket sizes, but that's a no go on the 10mm. Well my life has now been saved! I have not one, but TWO extra 10mm sockets for my missing socket sizes in my kit. This socket is CR-V and set for a 3/8 inch driver. Bot of these are set to pick up on multiple nut edges (12 point) so there's no need to keep spinning it around to find a place for it to grab on. These are both chrome plated so they'll stay shiny for as long as you keep them out of water. If you get them wet then all bets are off when it comes to keeping them rust-free and shiny. I'll be adding these to my socket set just as soon as I'm done writing this review. And then the empty space that is 10mm will be filled once again!

As any backyard mechanic will attest to, he (or she!) can never have enough 10mm sockets. Cars are practically built around them! AND as many of those same backyard mechanics will also attest to, they eventually wear out or get lost because they are used SO often. In comes the Upenjok 3/8" drive 10mm 2 piece socket set. My husband is pretty picky about his tools and he was thoroughly impressed by these. He said the chrome is very good and of high quality, they look tough enough to do any job and should last a long time. They have good deep engraving (please see pics below), so you can easily see what size these are when you need one. They fit a 10mm bolt head perfectly and have little or no slop. These would make great stocking stuffers, an extra birthday present surprise or get them just because you know he's going to need them.

These are identical to one another, fabrication doesn't have a lot of variation. The teeth are clean and uniformly pitched. There are no surface finish blemished and the surface is smooth and shiny. The parts aren't very heavy like impact sockets, and the shape allows the business end to be a little thinner than the base which may be useful if it needs to fit into a tight recess. The inset numbers are nice and large, but don't stand out very much. It would be nice if they were textured or colored to add some contrast. But it's always nice to have extra 10mm socket, and while I usually prefer 6-point for better contact, 12 point can be more useful in times when there is limited arc access so you don't have to waste as much of the arc getting oriented.
