Camera and monitor are very nice, reason for 4 stars, it advertised using your smartphone to monitor, but fails to tell you the app for android and IOS is $9.99 a week or you can pay by the year! Need to add that to listing, had no way of knowing the app used until I received the item.

A baby monitor. Or in our case a Fur baby monitor from (- insert here -) random manufacturer always brings about questions of compatibility, functionality and app support. Will it work? Does it work well? Will it continue to work? I can at least answer the first two questions here. I think you'll like this baby cam and monitor setup. Here is why: 1. Application installation and configuration for remote monitoring via your cell phone is EASY. Just reset the camera and follow the on screen instructs via the app. Capture a QR code and enter your WIFI password and you are done. It's an extremely quick and painless process. 2. + an SD card (you supply) this camera offers a LOT of options from motion, sound and AI alerts like "baby crying" at no cost. That means NO subscription fee requires! 3. The configuration options list is extensive. Additionally, it has FULL PTV. AKA the camera can change it's position on the horizontal and vertical access. Of course, it doesn't have a motion-follow option - that shouldn't matter unless you have an excapee for a baby. 4. Neat extras are included! There is an intercom, lullaby option (requires SD card) and temperature and humidity detection. It is FULLY featured. 5. Video capture history and configuration are easy to navigate! 6. Resolution and dark performance are good. HOWEVER, remember that this does not have the LEDs needs for IR at night vision. The camera remains dependent on ambient light. Downsides. 1. Notification options and camera sensitivity options seem somewhat limited. I turned them off. This might matter for you as you'll have to balance too many notifications that don't mean anything versus missing something important. 2. Video delay is significant if about 3-4 seconds. Even at low SD resolution a considerable delay exists. Note. This is somewhat the nature of the beast (long ping time). The delay is not necessarily a fault of this camera. The display monitor is impressive. It includes a backup battery! Is easy to navigate and display a clean picture. Cleaner than what you'll see through your cell phone. CONSIDER: With regards to video and audio surveillance! Your data is NOT protected. You will not (cannot) know who sees it. With this product like many many others you run the risk of interception. The app on this camera does include an encryption option. However, without an indepth technical review there is simply no way to know if that feature means anything at all! So, remember do not position this or any other camera to record something you truly don't want someone else to see / hear. I Recommend this camera and monitor. It is FULLY featured, easy to configure and easy to use. It is also relatively inexpensive and cute (its a one eyed cat). I think you'll be happy with it. Be mindful of what I mention. Also, be mindful that APP support can end at ANY time leaving you with abandonware.
