  • Experienced wheelchair user- very happy with purchase
Color: Silver
I was hesitant to buy this since it only had 2 reviews but I am very happy with it. We have a few different motorized chairs so we have some experience and expectations. PROS: Shipped overnight. Extremely easy to setup and fold down, literally just plug in the controller out of the box and off you go. Very lightweight. It works great to get my disabled husband around the house or other places indoors. We wanted something that we could travel with, as his other chairs are very heavy. It has a tight turn radius. One of the reasons I went with this chair over the other similar ones I saw on Amazon is that this one can be switched to be pushed manually. In case of a steep hill or a low battery, etc, I wanted the ability to switch to manual mode. POTENTIAL CONS: Because it’s so lightweight, it doesn’t get over the larger doorjam to the garage and It is definitely meant for flat/smooth surfaces. I don't know that I would risk taking it out and about the neighborhood if you might be navigating curbs/cracks. Also, the listing headline says 350-lb capacity, but the detailed specifications say 220 lb— which is a bit confusing. I assume 220lb is the actual limit just based on the size and weight of the chair. Overall I think it’s a great deal for a lightweight chair compared to many others I have seen online. ... show more

  • So far, happy with my wheelchair
Color: Silver
I received my electric wheelchair in 3-4 days, fast delivery. The cushioning on this chair is thick and comfortable. The two batteries DOES make the chair heavier. I recommend taking out the batteries and the chair is indeed 28-29 pounds. Chair comes practically assembled, minor parts to attached. I have a scooter, but, it’s getting difficult to climb and sit. The wheelchair, just lift arm and all is good. Price point is excellent. The ride is stable and smooth, takes some getting use to using the joystick This wheelchair is truly a quality chair. I don’t know how long the batteries stay charged. ... show more

  • Shockingly lightweight compared to our older model
Color: Red
This isn't my first electric wheelchair. But the main one is too heavy and large to easily get it in the car when a family member needs to use it out and about. This one solves that issue. They can use the larger, heavier one at home, and this one is great on the go. Much lighter, much smaller footprint when folded. Easily fits in a car trunk. This feels surprisingly well-made given how lightweight it is compared to what I'm used to. It's easy to use and maneuvers well even around tight corners. Overall, this is a very good electric wheelchair option if you have a smaller vehicle or need something lightweight so you can take it with you easily when needed. ... show more

  • A well-made and dependable electric wheelchair that give me more independence.
Color: Red
I requested this electric wheelchair from Amazon Vine because I have mobility issues and needed something that would make it easier for me to get around, especially for appointments and shopping. So far, I have been very pleased with it. One of my favorite things about this wheelchair is how lightweight it is at only 29 pounds. It folds up nicely, making it much easier to transport than a heavier power chair. Despite being lightweight, it still feels sturdy and supportive, and I really like the ergonomically curved backrest for added comfort. I like how the dual batteries and up to 25-mile range. I feel more comfortable using it when I'm going to appointments or spending time shopping because I don't have to worry as much about running out of power. I like that the two 250W brushless motors provide plenty of power, and I like that it is designed to handle different types of terrain. The red color also looks great and gives the chair a nice appearance. Being airline approved is another useful feature if I decide to travel with it. Most importantly, this wheelchair gives me more independence and makes getting around much easier when walking longer distances is difficult for me. I'm very happy that I requested it through Amazon Vine and can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. 5 out of 5 stars. ... show more

  • Lightweight game changer for ambulatory wheelchair users
Color: Silver
I am thrilled with this machine. There are downsides, but for the price - I think this is an amazing product that can help alot of folks. Photos - when I show the VIPLand chair against mine, mine has the donut hole seat cushion, bags hanging from arms and a back heating band cross the back. My chair is the sloppy lived in chair. The VIPLand chair is out of the box new and "uncustomized". I am a regular ambulatory wheelchair user. I have been using a travel power chair for the past 3 year for any sort of significant walking, i.e., I would only consider the mall if in a chair as walking in from the parking lot would fell me for the remainder of the day of not week. This would not be an appropriate chair for full time/long term continous use. This chair is a lightweight manageable chair used for folks like me who cannot walk distances due to pain, instability, or whatever reason. The chair I have been using for the last several years is a little more than double the price point of this chair and is rated for 220lbs. The VIPLand chair is rated for 300lbs. I am a 130lb adult. My chair feels more robust and sturdy when I sit in it than the VIPLand chair, but my chair, with the batteries stripped is 42lbs. At 42lbs, moving my own chair is extremely difficult and something I only do if I have no other options. I am mostly housebound because even with an electric lift, I cannot load and unload my 42lb chair from the vehicle without risking hurting myself. Even if I do not get injured, the energy spend to manage 42lbs is immense and it is exhausting to try and leave the house...so I just don't. At 29lbs, batteries again stripped to get to this weight, the VIPLand chair is a gamechanger. Husband and I practiced loading and unloading it tonight. In one of the photos you will see this does not fit in the trunk. The car shown is an a Audi S5 convertible. The trunk of this car is a joke. The fact the VIPLand chair almost fits in a tiny joke of a trunk is incredible. I suspect it would fit in any reasonable sized car trunk. There are also pictures of it fitting super easily in the minivan trunk. This thing folds down to a remarkably small size for a wheelchair. And I was able to lift it in and out on my own! I will still likely use an electric lift, but the ability to manage my own chair is huge and has opened doors previously shut for me. This chair is zippy and smooth. I was very surprised at how zippy and smooth the chair is. I took it over typical perfectly level front lawn grass pretty easily. Now - the ground is not mushy. But, it handled dry ground with grass really well given its a travel chair. The VIPLand chair feels quicker and smoother than mine, but it has less power to it. There is around a 1.5 inch lip into the garage. I used this lip to test what I felt was a power difference. My chair does not like the lip, but as long as the wheels are straight when I hit, it can bridge it. The VIPLand chair was only able to bridge the lift with ahead start/forward momentum. The VIPLand chair was unable to handle reverse maneuvers as well as my travel chair with less control and power in reverse. The footrest of the chair is flimsy. I do fear this will break easily and the user needs to make sure they do not put weight on it when getting in and out. The chair is so compact that the front wheels will at times rub against your feet on the footrest if turning. This is a definate downside, but very minor given the price and level of freedom this chair offers the user. I don't know about the 300lb rating. At 130lbs the chair feels tiny amd compact to me. I dont need or want something larger, but I would worry about the comfort level of someone 100lbs hesvier given how small this chair is. Collapsing and expanding the chair is super easy with a lever on the back. This is way easier than my normal chair. The battery snaps into place easily and snaps out easily. The extra battery can be stored alongside so you have the ectra mileage on a busy day to just switch over the batteries. The batteries switch just by locking in. My normal machine involves changing over the port cords. I found the VIPLand chair battery switchover much easier than what I am used to. The batteries are also several lbs lighter than the batteries on my travel chair. The VIPLand chair has this cute light feature on the joystick arm. I really liked this. One feature I really like in my nornal chair is there is a bag under the chair where I keep the manual, a small fix it kit and the charger. The VIPLand chair does not come with any bags or storage. I will need to study the undercarriage to see if I can find something to carry the charger and manual on me. I can't say yet if the VIPLand chair will rattle lose at times. But carrying a small fix it kit on my old chair was always a prudent decision. Later this week I will be taking the VIPLand chair to Boston and testing the battery life/distance/all day comfort and will update the review then. I am super impressed with what thia is for the price and weight and excited to try it out more. Initial impression. Despite any small complaints, this is a very strong 5 star and if you are on the fence in certain areas - I would say just do it. This is amazing...I would really only hesistate if I was a much larger person. I suspect this is working so well for me because I am a smaller person. ... show more
