Item is nice. Good design. Hexagon screen, bowl and pedestal. Ribbing in spark screen keeps it from being distorted by the heat. Seven nuts& bolts for assembly. Hex sections spot welded. Screen and pedestal pack inside the bowl and can easily beput back in the box for storage. The finish withstands the heat. Necer left in the rain. So can't comment on rust. It's a snap to put together and holds a nice amount of wood. The paint fades very quickly so be prepared to spray a high heat paint if you want it to continue to look good
