  • I love this gorgeous lens!
This lens is gorgeous! I went from the LUMIX GH7 (which I still love!) to a LUMIX S5iix. My fav wedding videographer uses this lens and I figured I’d try it out! I love this bad boy!!

  • Not a bad lens.
Nice lens. For lumix s5iix. The autofocus is not as fast as the 16-28m or 28-105mm. But the f1.8 is actually pretty good for low light and the bokeh that was my main reason for getting it.

  • The New Workhorse Lens
I've been shooting Sigma for almost 10 years now. To this day I still use the 50mm 1.4 EF mount, 20mm 1.4 EF mount, and the EF 24-70. That 50mm is STILL our money maker to this day. It just has "a look" that makes you say wow. The climax of our wedding films is almost always one from that lens. And in the transition to L-Mount, I simply cannot do without a nice wide prime (20mm) and specifically that ef 50mm. Well. This lens essentially replaces BOTH all by itself. Granted, this is a f1.8 but it's a ZOOM. And now a 35mm is included, we even get a bonus focal range out of it. With the Hybrid Zoom feature of modern Panasonics, it's essentially a 28mm 1.8 - 70mm 2.8 with the crop factored in. And it LOOKS like it. It's so sharp, and is half the price of an eqivalent 28-70f2 from Sony or Canon. Okay, you get the idea. But it's actually very well balanced. This is the first MODERN Sigma lens I've used and I was still surprised by how big it is. But how light it felt! The modern lens now has weather sealing (our old ones do not) and is all internal zooming so the weight doesn't redistribute as badly. But on a gimbal with a Lumix S9 it still does. We had our baby shower this last weekend, and of course being the dad of the equation I'm also the photographer. And this was the ONE lens I used all weekend. Yes. The focal range is a bit short. But you're getting 4 primes out of it. And a Zoom if you use the hybrid zoom function (which I do), It's an amazing lens. Highly reccommend. ... show more

  • Yes this lens is the one you want
This lens very useful. I have been looking for a prime lens that can zoom and keep a good aperture. This lens is the one. The weight of it is pretty heavy but with the right strength and tripod you should be fine. For the value of it, it's totally worth it. The sharpness of the photos and video is very clean. The focus speed is just perfect. Depending on the camera you will need to adjust your own focus breathing, bc this lens is fast good. 10/10 ... show more
