This extension pole was needed to deploy carpenter ant spray sixteen feet up in a tree, where they were nested. I tried tree bands, ant dusting powder and OTC carpenter ant spray from a big box store. The ants were crafty, as I blocked off their access points to three trees in my yard, they found a route moving from tree to tree in my neighbor's yard over to mine. I had to attack the nest directly. This pole met the task perfectly. With an aerosol can attachment and product, I was able to extend up to the infested area to deliver the insecticide. The pole is quite impressive. It very smoothly extends with tight tolerances. The construction is primarily of what appears to be an anodized aluminum tubes that feel nice to the touch. The hand grips are of perfect size for someone who wears large gloves. The locking clips are effortless. What I was really happy to see was that channels were extruded into the pipes to prevent turning. The screw adapter fits standard 3/4 inch threaded attachments. I saw one comment about it being half inch. That might have been the inner diameter of the screw, but the threads are three quarters of an inch. I extended the unit to around 17 feet so I was not directly under the area being sprayed. The pole had about two inches of deflection when the spray adapter and 14oz spray can were attached. There was very little wobble or harmonic vibration when moving into position and maneuvering around the area. For its size, the pole is light and easy to manage.

bought this for an unusual purpose, i purchased a house with a pool that had not been used in years and had over a foot of muck in the bottom. i used this along with a plastic screw on rake head to drag all the muck from the deep end to the shallow end so i could scoop it all out with the leaf net i rated earlier. after that, i found that its great for getting spider webs and wasp nests off the eaves of the roof with dealing with the bugs up close. has the same threads as paint rollers, brooms and other household items. it’s light weight for its size, but still very sturdy when extended. a good value.

Very long but a bit in the heavy side if you're using on a roof. To paint high walls, this is the best way without getting in a ladder. Cost is great for the length of pole. Very well made. Sections lock positively and solidly.

Had to paint a really high wall in my house, this pole worked well. Sturdy and easy to adjust on the fly. I like the locking mechanism a lot better than the poles you have to turn to lock and then collapse on you when you least need them to.
