I totally recommend this unit! My ground floor apartment humidity was 60-75% humidly according to gauges placed throughout the rooms for several weeks due to days of humid excessive heat & frequent heavy rain storms. The vinyl flooring felt wet on my feet. The carpet dampness throughout was equal to how it feels to my feet after shampooing the carpet. There has been no smell or visual traces of mold. The instruction manual was easy to follow. Set the unit to run on the settings "dry" and "30%." Within 72 hours of continuous running, the apartment humidity gauges are reading 48 to 53%. After only this short period of time, the vinyl flooring is dry under my feet, the carpet is getting dry. The unit runs very quiet. The wheels and the vinyl strap across the top make it easy to pull it from room to room. The cord is an adequate length. I have not used the hose to drain it. It is easy to pull the water container out from the front of the unit. It doesn't need to be moved or turned to remove the water container to empty. The top of water container is covered & designed to be easy to hold unto when walking to the sink and the water doesn't splash out. Tipping the container into the sink drains the water quickly and it slides easily back into the front of the machine. When turning the unit back on after moving it or emptying the water container, it resumes the program settings. So far, this unit has been very effective in reducing the apartment humidity quickly, quietly and is very user friendly. ... show more

We’re so happy with this dehumidifier! At first I tried a small version that just didn’t compare to this- this one puts out a full tank nearly daily that we empty! It’s so satisfying. And we’re NOT in a humid climate, but the upstairs bathroom does not take in shower moisture like it should so this has been a life saver! A noticeable difference in the air for the good. It’s also more energy efficient having a compressor so we’re comfortable leaving it on 24/7 (the compressor needs to sit upright 24 hours before first use). I was worried it would be much louder being bigger than a tabletop one, but is no more loud than expected and compares to other devices. The strap to assist with moving it along my thick carpet is a very nice touch. The lights are a feature to indicate at a glance where it’s at. We haven’t had any issues so far, no leaks, and so far very reliable taking in moisture. We’re leaving this on constantly even when it’s not muggy, and we’re shocked that it continues to capture so much moisture! ... show more

    • Small but surprisingly powerful

I’ve had this dehumidifier for about six months now, and I’ve been genuinely impressed with it. When it first arrived, I was a little surprised by how small it was, especially since I was planning to use it in a very large bedroom with extremely high ceilings. But this little thing is a workhorse. I originally bought it because I was getting a musty smell in clothes stored in an antique dresser, and I wanted to get the humidity in the room under control. It has completely solved that problem. I also air-dry clothes on a drying rack nearby, and it does a great job pulling that extra moisture out of the room. Even during the drier summer months, I’m still emptying roughly a tank of water a day. The tank is small, so I usually have to empty it daily, but it’s very easy to do. When the tank fills, the unit shuts itself off and the indicator light changes. You can simply pull the tank out, empty it, and put it back in, and the dehumidifier starts running again automatically—no need to turn it off and back on. I’ve also had no problems with leaking. My only real complaints are the small tank and the indicator light. The LED strip is very bright, especially in a bedroom, and I really wish it were dimmable or replaced with a much smaller indicator light. Other than that, I’ve been extremely happy with it. For such a compact unit, it pulls an impressive amount of moisture out of a large space and has been running reliably for months. Definitely a good little workhorse. ... show more

I live in a very small, older mobile home trailer. With the extremely hot and humid summer we've been having the need for a dehumidifier was great. My home was smelling musty. I had a small unit prior that did an ok job but quit operating so I researched and found this unit. After the first, initial use I am so impressed. The amount of water (set at 45%) this collected was incredible! Much less musty smelling already. I am now running at 50% on the Auto setting and will see how that does ongoing. Significantly cheaper than most other options and works incredibly well. We live in a basement apartment and have two bathrooms with zero ventilation. Laundry was taking 5 days to dry. With this dehumidifier it is so much faster. Noise level is fine, pretty quiet. Sounds like a fan even when set to “high.” Some lighted buttons on the top. Reservoir is small (we empty twice a day) but you can set it up with a hose (which we did, for 15 days while we traveled, letting it drain into a sink) and there were zero issues. I loved this dehumidifier! It was super quiet when I purchased it last Summer and did a great job removing humidity. I loved how compact it is, and that the wheels detach. I set mine on my counter and allow it to drain in the sink. It blends in very well with home and decor and gives wonderful piece of mind! However, when I plugged it in this week there’s a loud ticking noise that is very noticeable and annoying… If I tap the top it will stop for a little while then starts back up again. I haven’t had this for a year yet and only used it last year for a few months then stored it I really loved this the appliance and hate that it’s not running properly. ... show more

I have a 450sqft unfinished basement with an uncovered sump pump. When I received this I left it upright without using for over 24 hours per the directions. It's been running for 12 days now, and gotten the humidity down there from 81 to 59 (according to the machines readings). It's on continuous mode and hasn't shut off or caused issues. I hooked up the hose to drain directly into the sump pump area, my main complaint is it's a short hose. So placement is limited due to that. It hasn't leaked, and the wheels on it are nice. So far, I'm happy with it. I may try and get a longer hose that will work so I can place it more center in the basement. I may buy a 2nd just to keep the moisture level way down too. I live in Missouri so our weather can be very wet and humid throughout the year. But overall, I'm impressed with this random brand off Amazon. ... show more
