The media could not be loaded. Obtained this unit to replace an 8 year old dehumidifier. This one is a third of the size and weight which raised doubts about its abilities. Once powered on, the fan was significantly quieter which also implied relative weakness. Doubts were quickly alleviated once in use. The digital display of ambient humidity was very accurate, being consistent with a nearby hygrometer which matched it's readings. In a 750sq ft basement, humidity was reduced from 73% to 61% in a few days. 24 hours of use resulted in an output of 1.5 gallons of water, about one cup per hour. The tank is listed as .53 gallons so continuous drainage through the included hose is a useful option. Controls are simple and straightforward and the lighted display is attractive. Dehumidifier compressors are reportedly damaged when power is abruptly cut off. It seems this unit has a gradual shutdown to possibly prevent such harm. The attached video shows the slow shutdown. It's nice that the ambient humidity is still displayed with the power off. This compact unit has a lot going for it. So far the only thing I miss about the old one is being to confirm it was working by just opening the cellar door and hearing it. This one is too quiet!

I purchased this to keep my tool room at a consistent humidity level due to the high precision tools I own. I've bought dozens of different brands of dehumidifiers over the years, ranging from $100 to several hundred dollars. Overall, this one is in the top 3. I can easily recognize quality, or lack thereof. Cagstul has taken the time to built a high-quality product. The build quality seems second to none, from the easy rolling castor wheels to the quiet yet extremely effective compressor. If you look at the electrical ratings, it's efficient for its size. It's also one of the quietest that I've used. It is so quiet in fact, that I can barely hear it running. A small hum is all that can be heard when it is working. I like the compact size that allows it to stay unnoticed in the corner of the room, and that the fan blows straight up and not to the side. The tank is easy to empty, or it can be permanently drained via the included drain hose. I recommend the latter since the tank is small and doesn't hold more than a couple of glasses worth of water. The status light makes it easy to get an instant "we're great / we're okay / we're in trouble" reading without having to go all the way to the unit itself. Controls are easy to use, although the graphics were at first a bit confusing. The raindrop icon means regular de-humidification mode, while the T-shirt means continuous drying. Unfortunately this is not listed or clearly explained in the manual. There's a reason that most reviews are excellent for this dehumidifier. If you are looking for a top-of-the-line dehumidifier, I don't think you can beat it!

Works very well! Wasn’t plugged in a few hours and had water collected. My only issue with the product is if you can’t have it draining with the hose and you have to use the reservoir it fills up quickly and it fills up to the brim. Spilling a little water every time you take the tank out because it’s that full. Usually fills with water in about 6-8 hours. We empty it before bed at night and by morning it’s full. Quiet. Easy to use. Tank is easy to empty and lightweight. Easy to clean. Small so it doesn’t take up a lot of room. I was happy the bedroom didn’t feel damp anymore. The light on it can be annoying though. I haven’t found where to turn it off. The controls don’t make a lot of sense even with the book since there are no example photos. I just plugged it in and it’s working.

I got it for my basement, and within a day I could feel the difference. No more damp, musty smell. It runs quietly, the drain hose makes it super low-maintenance, and I love the adjustable settings. It’s easy to move around, works great in large rooms, and even has a sleep mode for nighttime. Definitely worth it!

Ordered this dehumidifier to combat moisture in my basement. It is easy to use, seems to work well, quiet operation even on high. Can use with auto drain line or just empty the tank manually every 8 hours or so. Humidity started around 62%, after a few days got it down to 49%. Smells less musty in damp area after just one day. Have another dehumidifier and this one is comparable. 3 year warranty and excellent customer service.. Satisfied with purchase and seller (WOOT) and would purchase again.

Not a bad unit, but not a good one either! It works but takes it a very long time to get humidity down. I got it to take with me to hotels in high humidity climates like Houston to make my hotel room not feel damp. Hotel Ptac units do not remove humidity hardly at all so many times you get a cool damp feeling to the rooms and damp bedding. One of the hotels had a nice dehumidifier they put in the room that removed the humidity well so I thought I would get me one well this is what I chose. The pictures are decieving the unit is small you need one twice as big and powerful to make a dent fast enough to be worth it. This unit used at my home does ok if ran for multiple days. In hotel settings for 1-2 days it does not make a difference hardly at all. For 1 room in a home such as a basement it would probably do fine, for other uses not so well.

My old de-humidifier died after 10 years of constant service in my basement. I was hesitant to get a smaller model, but this little guy is pulling more water than my old one ever did. I use the basic set and constant power mode, but the additional features are nice and the controls are well laid out and easy to use. I'm using the drain tube and while it looks small in diameter, it is working great. I was also very happy with how quiet this is. Even though I have it on high fan speed mode, it is a fraction of the sound of my old unit. I have not had it long enough to need to clean it, but I did check out how the filter connects and it looks like that will be an easy job as well.
