  • Life changing
I bought this to replace my three wheel mobility scooter because the scooter became too difficult to take apart, put in my car, take out of my car and reassemble in order to go somewhere. This wheelchair folds easily and I can put it in and take it out of my car by myself. There is a small learning curve to get used to operating it with a joystick, but I caught on quick. This is far superior to the mobility scooter and I am thrilled to have it. UPDATE: I have had this chair for three months now and am so happy with it, I’ve named it Oliver. I am able to walk around my home now (had major foot surgery a month before I bought this), so I leave Oliver in my car. When he needs charging, I simply pop the ~4 lb battery off and bring it in the house to charge. One of the things I love most is the maneuverability. Initially, I was using Oliver indoors because my knee scooter was painful on my hips. The speed settings allow for precision control indoors. There is no hand break. Breaking is automatic when you let go of the joystick, but it’s not so abrupt as to catapult you out. I estimate that if you are going the slowest speed, maneuvering around in your home around hallways, corners, and doorways, the stopping distance is 6-8 inches, which means you can avoid scratching your walls and door trims. You can also ease up on the joystick when approaching corners and doorways, which reduces the stopping distance, lending to stellar maneuverability. Once you get the hang of it, it corners great. I’m a bit of a speed demon and Oliver allows me to whiz around and take corners like a champ. Makes my husband laugh. I drive a convertible, which means I have limited trunk space. Oliver doesn’t fit in the truck. He does fit in the back seat, but I only put him there if the weather is nice enough for the convertible top to be down and I have a passenger. It would be extremely difficult to put him in the back seat with the top closed because the car is two door and the backseat area isn’t even properly comfortable for a normal person to sit in because of the limited leg room. Since I am usually alone in my car, Oliver is in the passenger seat, buckled in with the seatbelt. I am able to put him in and take him out by myself. My disability is mainly spinal, hips, and legs. I am a 58 year old woman and by no means a body builder. I’m 5’9” and 230 lbs, and thanks to Oliver, living my best life. - See photo of Oliver in my car. I have a large reusable, washable doggie pee pad on the seat to protect the car seat. You can’t see it in the picture, but the seatbelt is looped through the frame where the foot rests are mounted. ... show more

  • How long is the warranty and how do you buy parts
The media could not be loaded. Front wheel bearing makes noise on a carbon fiber ultra light power chair and I can't get any parts? And call Amazon call the seller nobody answered me back

  • Best Purchase
I can't complain. At first I thought that it didn't work when it was on manual mode because one tire seemed stuck but got in contact with the seller and they were always fast to respond. This has really helped everyone take my mom everywhere and so easy to pick up (lightweight) and put in my convertible. It's a bit pricey but worth the lifestyle change for everyone, especially my mom. ... show more

  • Very lightweight and quiet
We bought the 601 version directly from Verpal, apparently the Amazon version has an extra control box somewhere. Otherwise, they seem to be the same. My wife LOVES the chair! I LOVE the chair, and there are some pros and cons. Edit - I've looked at the photos here, watched the videos ... I'm convinced that the "extra control" in the back is nothing more than the two red switches that put the chair into manual mode, letting somebody push the chair. The chair was much cheaper direct from the vendor. Pros: * Lightweight - 30 pounds with the battery attached. This is why I love it because I get to load it into the car. * Accepts her existing air-cushion seat. So its a standard seat size. * The beeping can be disabled or mostly silenced (see the Cons section) * It looks cool. I know, but still. The carbon fiber material is visible through the transparent epoxy. One medical practitioner wanted to know where we got the "cadillac". * The seat cushions are adequate, but a SCI patient will want to use his own cushion * Has a cane back so a care giver can wrangle the chair easily. * Six forward speeds, we use the slowest around the house, #2 is good for longer treks and I can keep up with my wife. Speeds 3 and up and I would be jogging. * Automatically slows down when turning, no matter what the speed setting is. * Turns practically on a dime, nearly rotates in place Cons: * Only one battery available. I wanted to buy a second battery to charge while using the first one, and to have extended range. My communication with the company revealed that I cannot buy a second battery "at this time". The only way to get a second battery is to buy a second chair. * That damn beep! The chair's control box will beep when you turn it on and also when you are reversing. Fortunately, it is easy to disable the reversing beep with a couple button presses, but the power-on beep cannot be turned off. However, two pieces of tape over the beeper's hole on the controller and the power-on beep is tolerable. * The foot rests are extremely tight and my wife cannot move them. They are hard for me to rotate out of the way, both the pad and then the arm holding the pad. My wife does not use the pads around the house, only when we leave the house. * No accessories to speak of. Both arm rests will accept the joystick controller, I'm trying to find or build a "pipe" that will also fit so that I can clamp standard accessories to it. ... show more
