Installed it about 2 month ago. Installation was easy. I measured the safe myself to ensure that the hole I cut in the drywall was not too large. I then removed the shelves to provide plenty of room to drill pilot holes into the wall studs. This made it much easier to screw in the bolts that hold the safe into the studs. Safe construction is pretty good overall. Setting a personal combination was no problem. I'm not sure what it would take to drill out the lock but the safe itself seems pretty stout. Our wall safe was delivered quickly. However, upon inspection the cardboard container had a couple of clearly damaged areas to the wall safe that had been taped over. After removing the wall safe from the cardboard box there was a scratch/scrape on the front door of the wall safe that had removed the paint about the size of a thumb print. The other damaged area was a ding in the steel. This would be in an area where it would not be visible. We had missed the actual delivery by a short period of time and might have not accepted it at the time it came. But, after thinking about it, we decided to keep the wall safe and we installed it. The actual wall safe is built very sturdy and everything works well. We will try to match the very light grey paint color even though the order indicated that it would be painted white. Anyway, it is a very nice wall safe that looks good (except for the scratch) and performs well. I am sure that we will be able to come very close to the same color paint. It is not something that we will be having on display so it should be a workable situation. ... show more

Very heavy an the sheet metal is thick. I typically don't like battery powered combo locks but they seem to work well and there are always the backup keys. I like the hidden compartment in the floor. The lock mechanism does take up most of the center shelf but there is still some usable space.
