I love this angle grinder! The variable speed control is a game changer — it's incredibly useful when switching between cutting, grinding, or polishing different materials. This was my first time using a paddle switch, and now I’m not sure I can go back to a slide switch. It’s much more comfortable and intuitive to use. The only downside is that there’s no onboard storage for the wrench — that, or some kind of tool-less system, would’ve been a nice touch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolute Beast of a Grinder! This Flex grinder is an absolute beast—just like every other Flex tool I’ve bought. It cuts and grinds with power and precision, and the battery life is excellent. What really sets it apart is that it doesn’t auto shut down at the slightest bind like some other brands I’ve used. I appreciate that it comes with a wrench too—even though I usually tighten and loosen by hand, it’s great to have for those extra snug moments. Hands down, this is the best grinder I’ve ever used—better than Milwaukee, Makita, or Ridgid in my experience. I highly recommend this one and honestly, all Flex tools. Better than all the other cordless angle grinders – except for one weird design flaw I have used many different cordless angle grinders and this FLEX 5-Inch 10,000 RPM Variable Speed Paddle Switch Angle Grinder is the absolute best one I have ever used. It has many great features: plenty of power, variable speed, tool free easily adjustable blade guard, cleanable air filters for cooling air, exhaust air blast forward, and LIFETIME WARRANTY if you register it online. This tool is UL Listed meaning it has passed stringent electrical safety testing standards; same with the rechargeable lithium batteries and battery charger. I have major name brand tools that do not have this electrical safety testing certification. My only complaint is the strange forward angle of the side handle. The pictures don’t’ show this design flaw in proper perspective. The side handle (either side) is installed at a forward angle placing your hand closer to the surface you are working on. Every other angle grinder I have used has the side handle mounted perpendicular straight out from the tool. I am going to have to get used to this strange awkward forward angled side handle. So far this weird side handle angle is still awkward to me. So, I took off one Star Rating point. If I decide that this weird side handle angle is acceptable, or even has some advantage, I will change my review. ... show more
