and it's bright! it's got lights on all sides save the top and it's a powerful source of illumination. i honestly wasn't sure how big this was going to be, it's like a real street light size, it's massive. got it to light up the back pastures, but it's so big and bright, i couldn't put it that close to the house without it disturbing the night horizon. so now it's going on six acres that isn't wired completely with power. at first i wanted to use a tree, but they are all pines and this thing is not the lightest apparatus, so we'll have to set a proper post. really love this thing for being solar powered and actually powerful! it can be programmed and comes with a remote. installation isn't particularly easy, but it's a fairly straightforwrd setup and once certain things are established like location and height, it really is just about the logistics of mounting the pole. this will certainly be of good use to us on that land considering it's pitch black and the dogs can't cover all six acres at all times. super stoked to have snagged it! ... show more

We've ordered a few lights for our property and unfortunately some of these are hit or miss. This one seem to do very well for its size. It has various angles that allow for a nice broad range of light. As with most solar lights make sure you are installing it high enough to where you can use the light optimally. If you install these too low you will not be happy with the results these do well at their recommended height installation for optimal light casting. Dislike charged very well and lasted throughout the whole night. It does have a remote control and motion sensor is my favorite in order to dim when not needed but go bright when motion is sensed or detected. This helps keep it useful yet conserve its power for when it's mostly needed. I will continue to pick these up as they become on sale as they are much easier to maintain and install on our property then having to worry about running wire and pulling permits for connected electric versions. ... show more
