  • indoor plants love it
This is a fine textured cocoa coir in a generous 6 gallon bag. It arrives ready to use, no need to mix with water to reconstitute. We mix this with soil for our indoor plants. It prevents bugs and soil fungus. It retains water but drains well. This is a good quality coconut fiber. Its finely textured and ready to use right out of the bag. ... show more

  • Good for miniature basing
Don't have any cages to fill, going to use this for adding dirt / roots / ground cover / etc. to miniature bases & terrain. Nice rich brown color looks like peat, pale fibers like roots or small branches.

  • It's as advertised. Good amount of product.
It's coco coir. I'm not using it for reptiles, but other purposes. It's pretty fine, which is great for my purposes, but maybe too powdery for reptiles? I'm happy with it for what I need as of now. If it ends up not working I will update, but for now 5 stars.

  • Snails like it
The snails (Southern Flatcoil/Polygyra cereolus & Garden snail/Helix aspersa) seem fine with the dirt, and they're a picky bunch, so I'm fine with it too.

  • Excellent for plants too
This finely milled coconut fiber makes a great addition to plant soil to retain moisture and lighten the soil. It is uniform in consistency with a few minor clumps. We have bearded dragons and could definitely use it in a lay box. I prefer this to the hard bricks of coconut fiber which can be hard to take apart. ... show more

  • Garden use
Didn't use for reptiles instead added it to my garden beds. Works for that as well

  • Great coir
This coco coir is so convenient, much better than the blocks. It's great that I don't have to rehydrate it and can use it right away.

  • This bedding looks great atop our houseplants’ soil.
We got this product to make our indoor plants look a bit more finished and sophisticated. It gives them a professional appearance, and it helps to keep the soil moist, by preventing direct sunlight from striking it.
