We bought this product, not for shoes, but to use on our cruise! We paired it with 4 strong magnetic hooks and it was known as "The Wall of Wonder" - the walls of cruise ship cabins are metal and magnetic hooks attach everywhere. We had everything in the pockets of this thing - it was perfect for keeping stuff off the limited counterspace. First aid items, sunglasses, hairbrushes, phone chargers, toiletries, you name it - it had plenty of room and held up great. It's now a permanent part of our "cruise kit!" I was also pleased that it did not have that "plastic" or "vinyl" smell when I took it out of the package.

Having no place to store my shoes was driving me nuts, and I was always tripping over shoes. I wasn’t sure if the pockets in the organizer would be large enough for my Crocs, but they fit perfectly when I put the shoes in heel first. (For reference: my Crocs are women’s size 9). I was able to get two pairs of sneakers in the last two sets of pockets as well. The pockets seem to be well made, and I’m confident that this shoe organizer will last.

If you expect to use this as a SHOE holder..unless you are using for kids shoes, you will be greatly disappointed! The pockets are not deep enough. When I put one shoe in a pocket, it extended so far out of the top of the pocket that it laid on the bottom of the pocket above...preventing use of that pocket for a shoe. The five star reviews on this make me doubt the validity of Amazon's 'verified' reviews....should have read the negative reviews BEFORE I purchased!

We bought this shoe organizer to replace the old, tattered one we were using on the back of our bathroom door to hold various toiletries, as we don't have a lot of storage in our bathroom. While I can't speak to how well this holds shoes, each pocket is a nice size and holds plenty of items for us. It's not large enough to hold something really bulky, but it holds makeup and shampoo bottles and things like that. We also like that it's clear, so if you use it to hold smaller items that don't poke out the top of the pockets, you can still see what is inside each pocket. We've only used it just over a month, but it also seems to be fairly durable and will hopefully last a while without the pockets ripping (like our last one did). HOWEVER, we didn't give this 5 stars because we couldn't use the hooks that came with the organizer to be able to hang it on the back of the door. In fact, once we filled the pockets, with items that wouldn't have been nearly as heavy as 12 pairs of shoes, the organizer became too heavy and pulled the organizer down enough that the hooks holding it rose up and wouldn't let the door close easily. (The hooks did not fully clip on the door; the back side of the hooks didn't even fully touch the door and were prone to lift up when weight was added). In fact, when we tried to close the door, the hooks caught on the door frame and tore it up, and now we have to repair the door frame. As we had just repainted the door and frame, this was especially frustrating. We didn't want to throw out the organizer, though, as the organizer itself is still functional and fairly durable, so we dug through our recycling to pull out the hooks from the old organizer and used those with this new one, and now it works fine. If you have different hooks you can use, or some other mechanism to hang it, we would recommend this organizer for its quality, but we would not recommend trying to use the hooks that come with it.

I filled each of the pockets with different herbs and hung it on a sunny wall outside. Everything is doing great and the four grommets though the thick cotton top edge has held it all. So far (4 weeks), no problems even when filled with the plants and water. I wish they could make them in different colors!

I ordered this for my classroom. I made it a cellphone jail. My students put their phones and headphones inside it so that they don't have access to their phones while in class. I love that its pink and matches my classroom and that the pocket is clear. I wanted the kids to still be able to see their phones. So far they hate it... BUT I LOVE IT! lol

This thing is great, and I really would buy more if I needed to. Ok, some useful information: your door needs to be 1 11/16" OR LESS in thickness at the top where the hooks will be, otherwise you'll have to be ok with bending the hooks it comes with... or get some hangers that will fit your door...or get some 3M products, perhaps...or get creative in other ways. You have roughly 10" - 10 1/4" from the bottom of one pocket to the bottom of its upstairs neighbor (picture). If you need to hold longer things things, consider cutting the bottom out of the one above your main "holder" and there you go. I almost did this to hold towels and instead put tank tops and flouncy dresses into the thing. The pockets are roughly 4 1/2" wide (awful picture). As for holding things comfortably: I have big feet, and I am showing size 9 sandals in this thing as an example (big foot picture). They are 9" tall. When you only have both in filling the pocket, all is well and good. However, with only one in there, the thing will flop forward -- pardon the pun -- by a solid 4" (picture). When you close the door, and the item hits, say, a box in the closet, the box will just knock the shoe back against the the door -- no harm done in the case of my example shoe. If you're putting items that are fragile in there, be mindful of this, as your item/s may be injured during it's free fall back to the door. No slate, for instance (who would do that? Email me if you are using this for holding pieces of slate -- I'm intrigued).
