I have this set up in a basement location near a bathroom. It gets very humid down there when the weather warms up. It is a large open space so I needed a powerful dehumidifier. This dehumidifier brought the humidity down from 71% to 54% in just over two hours of run time. It is clearly powerful enough to handle large spaces, but small enough to be easily moved as needed. I like the different settings and easy to read display, with humidity indicator. It is reasonably quiet too. The holding tank is large and it has auto shut off protection, but can be connected to a hose for continuous operation. It's also easy to see the water line in the tank to see how full it is, which I like. I would not hesitate to purchase again for other humid areas in my home! ... show more

Compact AND gets the job done for what I was looking for, don't let the photos kinda trick you into thinking this thing is bigger than it looks! I bought this because I live in a tropical area that where the average temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity and that can be very uncomfortable... But frequently using air conditioning can be costly, especially where I live. So a interesting method is to use a dehumidifier which will make things much much more bearable without incurring the costs of traditional air conditioning! Now with that being said, it's not going to dramatically make the room colder like AC would, but I would be surprised if you wouldn't feel very much better on a highly humid day after you reduced the humidity! ... show more

    • Great to keep the basement room dry
I bought a second one of these dehumidifier and it is also removing moisture out of my basement and keeping it dry. I have been using this for almost a week and now the room its in is also feeling much dryer than before. I think if I keep this running for awhile it should clean out or dry out my basement and I like the hose that it comes with it because I can just dump the water anywhere. I wish it consumed less electricity because I do have to keep it on 24/7 but I guess there is not much that can be done about it. ... show more
